Summary

After eighteen years without her father, she is determined to bring him home. She encounters the deadly storm right outside Ithaca and finds herself at the mercy of Poseidon, who is hellbent on getting revenge on her father. She was the perfect way he could exact his revenge. The princess isn’t entirely eager to be tortured and killed, but she was always told she was a charming and beautiful woman, and she knows Poseidon is far from a prude.

Summary
So...this is a personal work of mine that I wrote back in July of 2021. This year has been difficult in regards to me overcoming a lot of self struggle with my body. Because of my shape and size, I grew to be uncomfortable with myself. I hated the way I looked, my parents were constantly up my ass about my weight, my image, etc.
This summer, I took a step towards overcoming this struggle. For the first time in years, I wore a two-piece bikini. Now, I know, it may not be a huge deal to you, reader, but I haven't worn a two piece in a long time. I would've wore a one piece and practically hide among several layers of clothing underneath it all. But I took a step and decided to overcome this.
I never felt more free.
Before I get carried away, Poseidon's Thoughts is written in the POV of the God of the Sea himself. It's strange to say this, but I felt him during my self-discovery/self-love journey. I'm happy to post this at the end of this year - shows how big of a step this was for me to accept and love myself.

“Then maybe I will finally have rest. Fate is a cruel mistress; it seems we have that in common.” You can feel Enji’s eyes burning into the back of your neck.
“Yes, mistresses. You do have that in common.” The air starts to warp and shimmer, humming with power, and you know to close your eyes lest you burn in the presence of his true form. When he vanishes in a blinding explosion of light, you shake your head in exasperation.

Those eyes – beautiful and alluring as they may be – widened quite considerably when you opened your mouth and let out the loudest, shrillest shriek you’d could muster. You were even sure that it was louder than the one you let out when you were 7 and your neighbour’s son stole your favourite teddy bear and ran it over with the lawn mower.
