Summary
As soon as he was free, there was a lot on Murdoc Niccals' mind, and none of it was what he was supposed to be focusing on. It wasn't the song he had to write, it wasn't the freedom and things he was deprived of in prison, it wasn't even alcohol for once. It was his family. His daughter. Those whom he missed greatly.
He was about to make the first move and call them up, when the phone rings first.

Summary
After Murdoc gets sent to prison for the 100th time after the events of Plastic Beach, his 8 year old daughter gets sent back to the custody of the same woman who abandoned her beforehand.
Now in a new setting, a new home, and without anyone she feels safe around, she has to make it through these 3 years and answer a question her apparent mother keeps asking:
Does Murdoc really love his child, or is he just keeping her because he had to. After all, Selfish people don't just change, do they?
Or
Mary gets stuck in the custody of Renata again and these few oneshots are glimpses of her life then and explains why she doesn't enjoy talking about that time as much.
