Gil Grissom is bad at people things. Feelings, compassion, and kindness when innocents are suffering, yes. Talking, connecting...not so much. When he meets Holly, a fellow adrenaline junkie, they initially bond over his roller coaster rides. His skills pick up that something is terribly wrong and he finds it increasingly obvious that this case is one of the 'special' ones.
His determination to connect the dots leads him on a journey he never asked for, one that will test his strength, his courage, and his ability to keep a grip on reality.

Greg Sanders thinks no one really notices him at the lab, especially Gil Grissom. The enigmatic man was always turning off his music, critiquing his song choices, interrupting his monologuing....and when the flu hits him, and the fever corrupts his ability to rationalize, he doesn't think Grissom will care even then.
