Shore leave wasn't really something you got in the Migrant Fleet, but when he'd gotten an extranet message from Shepard asking if he'd like to meet up on the Citadel, Kal jumped at the chance. He pointedly ignored the curious... and sometimes disgusted... looks he got as he walked through the docks; surprised to find Shepard already waiting for him. He wasn't exactly sure what a quarian like him was doing going to meet a famed galactic human hero like her, but if she wasn't bothered by the sudden attention they were getting, he wasn't either.

This is an updated version of a fic I wrote back in 2019 as part of an iPod Shuffle Challenge; the idea was to have songs come on at random, and to write short scenes only during the duration of the song. I've tried to reordered the pieces to make a more cohesive story, but have not added anything additional to the 'chapters'.
