The world of Remnant never had Salem's meddling and Ozma never got his kids caught in a fight. What came from the wizard and witch spawned a magic race of creatures (separate and considered alien even to faunus). Beacon is a castle-school in the wilderness to help these creatures learn and thrive, whilst one dorky blonde human decides its the best place to continue his huntsman training.

Summary
When four broken people converge and get grouped together for their first year of school at Vale’s most prestigious academy, all hell breaks loose from there. First-year students Cinder Fall, Arthur Watts, Tyrian Callows, and Hazel Rainart have to learn to work with each other and for each other in order to survive the coming storm set to come.
Focuses on a reversed version of volume 1 of RWBY with the roles swapped, as well as adding character-focused chapters midway between episode events to overall strengthen the relationships of the main cast (each volume will receive its own fanfic). Runs alongside Dreams of a Silver-Eyed Girl (a recommended to read prequel of this fanfic), updating every Wednesday.

Roman considered strays bad luck. but when your partner in crime brings home a severely wounded 12-year-old who was on the brink of death Roman had a hard time saying no. And considering that when she woke up she didn't even know who she was Roman was really regretting not leaving the stray outside.

A blood test reveals something that neither he nor the once constant companion he had in his head. Upon returning to consciousness he has to figure out a way for his past not to come into fruition.

Emerald wants to believe Mercury. Really, she does. But this is betraying Salem they’re talking about. This isn’t peanuts.
She, Mercury and Neo have poured over the plan what has to be hundreds of times by now, stealing moments away at the makeshift camp they had all set up in the wilds outside of Vale. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts - god, but what if he’s ready for them? What if Salem’s ready for them? What if she knows about what they’ve been planning this entire time? She’s not here, but her monstrous Seer is - what if it had been listening in on them?
(OR: Mercury, Emerald and Neo attempt to make their getaway from Salem during a battle. Meanwhile, Oscar's been cast adrift, with nothing left to live for. Their paths intersect, and they must all make a choice- do what is right, or do what is easy.)

Ruby getting possessed by a storybook character after being driven to suicide was somehow not the weirdest thing to happen to her recently.
Nope, that prize would go to waking up in her fifteen year old body after sending herself to the Tree with a part of her starting to resemble said storybook character.
Well, at least she could have some fun this time around, it would be pretty boring to just redo everything leading up to Salem basically winning.
