Young Sans escapes the lab with his younger brother, Papyrus. After Sans takes care of their biggest threat he takes Papyrus and runs until eventually collapsing in Snowdin where a kind bartender named Grillby finds both skeletons and takes them in. In their new home, the skelebros can learn how to live a new life but there are some things that they just can't run from.

“Uh, Kris? Why’d you wake me up so early? What time is it?”
Kris pointed to their watch, a slight smirk forming on their face. The watch had large cracks on it, looking as if it were hit by a baseball bat. Because of that, the bold red flashing numbers on it were distorted. After squinting and trying to angle my head correctly, I read the time as 7:13.
“Hey Kris! The hell did you wake me up so early? It’s not a school day, and you know that!”
Kris looked at me, pulling off an evil grin and climbed on the couch, eventually making their way to the window and pulling themself through it. I followed them with slightly more effort, though I assumed Kris did this type of stuff a lot.
