Summary
The Pack is still reeling from the events leading up to the eclipse and the choices they made. Scott, Stiles, and Allison wrestle with the darkness brought on by their surrogate sacrifice. The three alphas navigate their new reality, Scott feels crushed by the weight of expectations that seem to come with being a once in a lifetime True Alpha. Jackson struggles with how to be an alpha with no betas and debates recruiting members of his own. Derek strives to be a better alpha to his remaining betas. Isaac, perhaps for the first time since he can remember, is finally in a position to (mostly) not have to make decisions based on survival. Charlie grapples with what she is, and wonders if accepting the path in front of her will only lead to an early grave like her mother and aunts, or turn her into a miserable monster like Jennifer Blake.

Stiles was in disbelief. There was no way he could go through with Derek's request. How could one bullet inflict so much damage? This couldn't really be a matter of life or limb. He didn't want to believe it, but the look on Derek's face left no room for argument. And Scott? As usual, he was not answering his phone. Everything was awful and Stiles felt like he was going to be sick.

To be honest, Derek wouldn’t have given him the time of day normally, but there were a few things that struck him as odd. Firstly, there was still a good thirty minutes before school let out. Secondly, the boy was silently staring out towards the preserve with a pensive expression. Thirdly, he had no scent, and his heartbeat was non-existent.
Okay, maybe he should have led with that, but the point was, there was a boy sitting on the bleachers, and Derek seemed to be the only one who could see him.

Learning about many family secrets, mostly Hale and Gajos', they handle it together as a Pack, depending on each other like a true Pack. Though it isn't long until different legends and prophecies come to light, ones that Stiles has been hiding from the Pack, not ready to face what they mean for the Pack.
This started out as a simple Derek finds out about his son with Kate and instead became an actual monster of a fic, there is a lot of world building and just unapologetic Pack shenanigans.

Derek Hale was born thirteen minutes after his older sister and as far as his mother is concerned he was nothing more than her spare. When the Alpha and Druid councils send an invite for Alpha training, his mother is happy to let Laura go without even considering that Derek would be a good candidate.
