Summary
Lan Wangji doesn’t often receive missives addressed specifically to him. In times of need, people tend to write to the leader of a clan, or perhaps to some renowned elder—at most. In a few letters, the boldest might ask for him directly, after all, he is Hanguang-Jun. The only letters he’s ever received personally were thank-you notes. So it doesn’t particularly surprise him when someone leaves him a letter bearing his name. No specific colors, no seal—clearly not from any prominent clan. See? Just grateful civilians.
But the surprise hits him like a crashing tide when he reads the very first line. It’s his name—yes, his name! But his name name: Lan Zhan. A name used by only one person.
