Summary
Man's greed...your fate. Dragon's are valuable, for the magic in their veins and their fighting prowess in combat. A young dragon on the brink of death, your human masters hold a tournament in hopes of making a little more gold off of you before you die. You await your death, which refuses to come when the winner of the tournament fights to keep you alive. He pushes you to get healthy and build muscles, trains you to fight alongside him, and offers you to a dragon friend of his. You life is his. But you feel as though there's more to it than merely belonging to him. Why do you want to protect him? Why do you seek his approval? Why does he seek yours? And why are you drawn to the dragon he forces on you? Why does he pull at your heart like a long lost lover? Why does he care what you think of him? What is your fate? And how are they a part of it?
