Summary
The Absolute has been defeated, the tadpoles destroyed, and Whisper cured of her Urges. She and Astarion SHOULD be able to finally relax and figure out where they want to go from here. Except, nightmares and flashbacks continue to plague Whisper, making her wonder if she truly is free of Bhaal's influence. And when the remnants of the Bhaal cult start hunting her down, it becomes clear that the god of murder won't just let her live her life. Gods are petty, and they don't like to lose what they believe belongs to them. At least she has Astarion to help her stay out of Bhaal's grasp.

Theon inhaled deeply and exhaled a sigh large enough to shake the walls. “What I mean is…anxiety. Panic. I have issues with these things. Maybe even OCD. I haven’t been to a psychiatrist in ages, so who knows at this point, but that’s how they manifest in my mind–birds.” He hesitantly looked up from his fiddly hands to see what Astarion’s reaction would be. Is he going to laugh at me? Make fun? Does he think I’m legitimately insane? Gods, he probably thinks I should be in a straight jacket. I shouldn’t have said anything. Why did I say anything?

After a night of passion, Nixie's past is coming back to haunt her, and the events soon to follow will not be pretty.
