A note for potential readers: Kira was created in 2015, right after TFA came out. She was named before the Rey's name rumor, and she has no association with it. I just can't bring myself to change it after so long. She's my OC and I just wanted to make that differentiation clear. I fell out of the fandom for several years and just came back recently, and didn't even know about the Kira rumor until I started reading fics from 2018 and after. I had some major confusion for a bit until I googled and found out about it. That I named her Kira is pure coincidence.

Kira is a rather anti-social college student who gets dragged to social events by her best friend Rey. At one particular party she gets ditched and meets a guy named Ben. The two of them end up having a lot in common, and Kira begins to enjoy herself. Then she sees her ex. In the spur of the moment decision she kisses Ben. He ends up asking her out, something that shocks his closest friends.
Little does Kira know getting involved with Ben could be one of the worst decisions she's ever made. Ben has a secret about his past, one that could put everyone he loves in danger. A secret involving the name Kylo Ren.Kylo Ren x OFC
