Sakura is deeply in love with Ai Mizuno. She's her idol. Her hero. The person who saved her. Who taught her mistakes aren't a bad thing. And although it's taken her a very long time to work up the courage to confess to her, she's finally ready to confess and maybe just maybe, Ai will learn to love her the same way she loves her and they will become girlfriends. (And wouldn't it be great if Ai and her eventually had sex too? That would make her giddy beyond compare!)
And yet, Sakura's bad luck strikes again, just as she finds the courage to confess, she accidentally discovers Junko and Ai having sex, and learns that she missed her chance, they are already happily together. And she starts spiraling bad, broken hearted, and distraught that she failed again, this time at romance.
Kotaro tries her best to cheer her up after he discovers her crying alone, he tries to console her but it makes her feel worse because he's happy being in a one-sided love and seems proud of that fact. It makes her feel like he's a better person than her.
She and Kotaro have sex to try to distract herself from the heartbreak. She sets her sights fully on hurting him so they can be broken together. -
