Summary
Asgard is on its last legs. The Elder God Chthon has spent 100 years draining its resources, while the Asgardian citizens live in terror of the incomprehensible being ruling over them. The Asgardian Loki seems to be the people's only hope, leading a rebellion of the last remaining Æsir using tricks and deception. Loki travels the ancient connections of the Bifrost, desparately trying to prevent the Chthon from freeing the other Elder Gods. Meanwhile, paramedic Jake Olson travels to Norway to attend his grandfather's funeral, discovering the commune of Norse god-worshipers his grandfather was part of. When the commune is threatened, Jake's participation in a ritual transforms him into the god Thor, with a berserker's rage and incomprehensible power. The commune is soon at odds deciding what to do with Jake, some believing him to be Thor himself, while others believe it's a trick. Both Jake and Loki must learn and adapt to shifting circumstances, on two fronts of a war that threatens all Ten Realms.

The war is over, and Loki hoped to have an easy time posing as Odin, and spending time with his twin sons, whose mother he longs to know better. Thor meanwhile, is trying and struggling to settle down with Jane and put the wars behind him.
“I assure you chief, this plan will have key differences. We won’t be taking a chance on Loki, he will join us.” Angrboda held up a scrap of black fur, black and white hair, and a shimmering scale. “The children Odin stole, in his vain attempt to thwart destiny, are shared between us. Once he learns of how Odin hid and tortured them, he will be furious, and I will be there to shape his fury into a dagger- to strike the heart of the tyrant, ensuring the prosperity of all of us,"
However, some family matters can't be left behind. And Loki's kids and their cousins don't plan to.

The Statesman never encountered Thanos between the destroyed Asgard and Earth. Thor, Loki and the remaining survivors settled on Earth and formed New Asgard. A year later and the Odinson brothers struggle to preserve the life, culture and history they lost. For Thor kingship is a heavy burden and he had to sacrifice much to preserve his relationship with his people and his prickly brother. And for Loki New Asgard brings nothing but old grudges and old troubles and old prejudices.
And then monsters fall from the sky and Earth's magic wielders begin to disappear and things really start to get complicated. Magic, mystery and monsters, Gods and humans and everything in between ...
... and all the while Loki, his pockets still quite heavy from the jaunt to Odin's Vault, can't shake the feeling that someone is watching him. -
