Summary
You understand very well why the Wall exists. It wasn’t for lack of trying. We did attempt coexistence as equals. But coexistence proved impossible. After the war, you thought a new world had begun—where all were equal, where every voice carried the same weight: one person, one vote. But they breed like rabbits. Our kind could never match their numbers. You believe they should have the same rights as you, but the sentiment was never mutual. And so, they voted to strip you of equality, then of rights, until you were reduced to nothing.
That is why the Wall was built. Without it, our people would never have the power of self-determination.
But now, our strength wanes. The Wall will not hold much longer. Some naïve young winglies may celebrate this, but I know you won’t. You know what awaits us. The tragedy of the Dragon Campaign will repeat, and this time, nothing will save us.

Summary
Not long after the battle within the Moon That Never Sets Lloyd is found near-death, and brought back to Mille Seseau to recover. There he's tried for some of his crimes, and works for a time to repay his debts. Until he's recalled unexpectedly to Serdio, with little explanation. While he expects it's to face judgement for more of his crimes, he finds himself embroiled in something far deeper.
