Out of all the things today, Seonghwa didn’t expect this would happened: his new neighbor signed a sign language to him when he had asked him to come with him for the community cleaning day.
“Uh—oh, you can’t talk—are you deaf?”
Hongjoong nods his head and Seonghwa stares in confusion because how did he heard him if he’s deaf?
Oh wait, he can read lips of course. So backing away from the door, Seonghwa bows slightly.
“I’m so sorry, I’m not aware—I’m sorry to disturb you then. Have a good day, Hongjoong-sshi.”
“Alright, you too.”
Seonghwa whips his head back and gasps out loud, “you dipshit—”
And the door closed right in front of his face with a loud thud. Fucking fraud Kim Hongjoong.

The man before him jumps spectacularly, a truly ear-splitting shriek bursting out of him, and the bowl and the book both go flying in opposite directions as he spins to face Hongjoong, eyes wide, and hands flying up to his face.
“Oh my god,” Hongjoong says.
“Jesus,” the man wheezes, and Hongjoong thinks that’s a weird sort of invocation for a–fucking Satan worshipper, or whatever, to use. He clutches his chest, breathing hard as he takes in Hongjoong. “You scared me.”
“I scared you?” Hongjoong asks incredulously. “You’re the one hanging out in a cemetery at night doing–what is this, a summoning? Are you a Satanist?”
“God no, just a necromancer,” the guy says, looking positively terrified by the very thought. “Song Mingi. Who are you?”

In which aspiring novelist Hongjoong takes a job to be a sexton at a cemetery in the hopes that the change of pace will help him through his bout of writer's block. There he encounters Mingi, a hapless necromancer using that cemetery for practice. Hongjoong does not know peace. -

Summary
Kim Hongjoong, a writer who never fails to make it onto your local twitter trending page with a new book. His famous series became extremely popular after his second book released, gaining himself an international fanbase in the process. What the audience doesn’t know however, is how Hongjoong's books are retelling his previous lives where certain circumstances never allowed him and his significant other to be together.
At a book signing event one evening, Hongjoong was just about to round everything up when a fan came up to him. Donning a hooded jacket and some black jeans, the man stood there as Hongjoong smiled at him, grabbing his pen and opening the first page.
However- instead of the usual blank page, Hongjoong was met with elegant, neat handwriting. The man was silent as Hongjoong processed what was written. At a loss for words, the writer stared at the words that seemed to stare right back at him.
There in black ink, the words that he had been waiting for almost his whole life.

“A gift basket. For my favourite neighbour.”
Hongjoong debates slamming the door in his face. He doesn’t, but it’s a near thing.
“You’re unbearable, I hope you know that.”

Love truly is the most powerful force in the world, the truest form of magic, the utmost miracle, but then again, like any other form of power, love does have its destructive aspects.
Seonghwa knew it well.
He once fell in love and, much like he did with the flowers of his beautiful garden, he cherished his darling with all of the care he was capable of, giving him everything and more, compelled to do so by the sense of completion that loving someone with such pure devotion can give to a soul.
Loving him felt fulfilling, intoxicating, appeasing, and Seonghwa fell for the spell of love.
