Eddie unwittingly softens at seeing the boy panic. “This is my— what?”
“Well, this is our honeymoon suite, Sir.”

Will knew it, he knew Mike so well that he didn't need confirmation that when he got to Leonora Mike would just focus on El and put him aside like last summer. So she made the decision to avoid that pain and thanks to her Mom and Jonathan with a little help from Argyle she was able to buy a plane ticket and go spend spring break in hawkins with the rest of the party and thus forget even if it was for a moment he feels like a freak for being in love with his best friend and his headaches that won't let him sleep
But as always things are not as he expected as a creature from The Upside Down has been killing students at Hawkins High School. -

hawkins, indiana, 1989.
lucas is still reeling from the events of a certain spring break back in 1986. the fallout has been dealt with, but it turns out that the hardest part of this would be picking up the pieces.
the town is different now. maybe it was because the citizens now knew something was wrong in hawkins. maybe it’s because he’s three years older and maturity can hurt like a mother sometimes. but deep down, lucas knows that even if both of those are true, theyre not the reason.
the town is so different now because dustin seems to be absent from it.
physically, hes present, but its felt like he’s been on an entirely different planet from lucas for years, and it’s eating away at him.
while lucas deals with trying to manage his emotions— teetering on the edge of absolute self destruction and holding the galaxy in the palms of his hands, he struggles through the thick waves of mental health issues, picking himself apart but constantly trying to glue his pieces back together. and thanks to one little poetry project, his eyes open to the fact he’s not alone— or, doesn’t have to be. not anymore.
