If anyone had bothered to pay attention, they might have seen him three stories above the reporters, snatching the White Violin into his arms. If anyone had bothered to pay attention, they would hear the poor guy beg her (in grammatically incorrect Russian, no less!) for just one single, measly date.
Suffice to say, they did not, and the newscasters and curious onlookers would soon find out that, yet again, the notorious White Violin had escaped under suspicious circumstances.
