Summary
Six years after the death of her husband, Daenerys Targaryen copes with loss and grief while holding her Kingdoms together. The Queen decides to form a marriage alliance with the High Lord of the Night Court, Rhysand. As they rekindle their friendship, threats from Doranelle arise. An old friend from Terrasen returns, demanding payment for a life debt.
As Daenerys fulfills her promises, she realizes she is a conqueror like Aegon Targaryen. With the new conquered Kingdoms under her reign, she breaks off her betrothal to the High Lord in a dark pursuit of power.
