Life goes a full circle for Loki after season2. The tree becomes strong enough to not require further care so Loki experiments and tries to let go of the branches, and watches in awe as they connect perfectly and everything is finally in its place. Just when Loki wonders what to do next now that he's no more required here and everyone is living their lives anew and there's probably nowhere for him to go... He feels something.. The feeling before timeslip..something like a very strong Timeslip!!!.... Gasp.. Breathe.. Pain.. Gasp... Wait a second why does it feel he has just woken up from his bed on Asgard... Oh dear, Asgard looks in a mood for celebration, not just any celebration, it is the beginning of the week long celebration for Thor's coronation!!!

But the God pushes him out. It's like the point in the bubble Mobius was shoving at bounces back. He's locked out. And Loki goes on as if nothing happened. Mobius throws down the mic. The poor thing cracks and metal parts go everywhere. He leans on the console and takes deep angry breaths.
O.B.s voice is gentle but terrified. "Mobius?"
"Get me in there," Mobius hisses, resolving to become exactly what Loki is making him. "Get me in there. Now."
It's time to be the villain.
Or
Loki creates his own little world so he can have a happy ending. Mobius disagrees.

It had been the hardest thing that he’d ever done. Harder than spending centuries reliving the same handful of hours in order to learn everything possible from O.B., Victor Timely, and even Casey. Harder than mastering his ability to timeslip and manipulate time.
The hardest part was leaving. Walking away from that door while Mobius and Sylvie begged him to stop. Unable to give them a proper goodbye or embrace them before he did what was necessary. Not only would they have tried to stop him, but he honestly didn’t know if he would have the willpower to continue if he allowed himself that small moment. It had been painful enough when he looked back near the end, seeing his friends watching through those distant windows, and knowing that he could never have that again.
Wrapping himself in those countless timelines filled with infinite lives that were now truly free. Ensuring the survival of everything at the cost of an eternity of endless solitude. That was the hardest part.
That was his great and glorious purpose. The king of everything and nothing. Bound to a golden throne by metaphorical chains of an impossible responsibility that he freely shackled to himself. Alone and guarding eternity without end.

You don't know me and you don't know if you can trust me, but I'm telling you... if you help me defeat all these raging versions of He Who Remains... or Kang or whatever he's calling himself... you don't only save me and my people. You're saving yourselves.”
Doctor Strange took a step next to Wong's chair.
“But your request has a deeper purpose. The safety of the multiverse is a noble goal, but if I remember correctly, you want to free-”
“Yeah... I want to free the god of time itself.” Mobius looked around the room filled with superheroes from every branch of the multiverse, which he had been able to reach. Hulk, some Spider-Men, X-Men, Moon Knight, the Guardians of the Galaxy and so many more had come to his call.
“I want to free Loki. And for that I need your help.”---

Summary
The small furrow between Loki’s brows smooths out. When he speaks, it’s on the tail end of an exhale, a soft, almost tentative secret. His eyes are sincere, though—overwhelmingly, achingly so. “You were the hardest goodbye, Mobius.”
The wind whistles by them, a gentle summer breeze. The late afternoon sun casts long shadows that stretch on the grass.
All those painful weeks of waiting, of wondering, of not knowing, of fearing—it seems so insignificant now, pushed to the back of Mobius’ mind so he can focus on the now, now, now. Loki looks at Mobius like he is the most important thing in the world, and oh, Mobius has almost forgotten how right it has always felt between them.
“It’s alright,” he says. “Since it wasn’t a long goodbye, after all.”
(Or: In the aftermath of Loki’s sacrifice, Mobius begins to dream of all of the moments over the centuries that he had forgotten.
Meanwhile, Loki tries to find his way back to Mobius. (He always does, after all.))

Mobius swore that as long as he was alive Loki wouldn’t be forgotten, though. As long as he was alive there would be fresh flowers next to the picture of Loki he had hidden away in his office. Even as his mind struggled to recall the sound of Loki’s voice, he would not forget that name.

Summary
a place to collect all my Lokius fics. Their common thread at this point is that they all include a reunion trope because hey, S1 did this to me and I will keep writing them finding each other ;_;
Series title inspired by the song “Speak Low” that I recently discovered after watching a film called One Touch of Venus. It fits Lokius so perfectly with the yearning in each line and the idea of time moving to fast and slipping away.
