Lalna stared blankly. Honeydew was quietly cussing up a right storm at his side, as only a dwarf could do and there was - across from them -
Well. He wasn’t not Xephos. He looked younger - not that any of them really aged - but he actually felt like a fresh-faced 20 something rather than just looking the part. He also looked like he was seconds away from a breakdown or a murder spree, a jury-rigged firearm in his hands, pointed straight at him and Honeydew. Lalna had never seen the clothes he was wearing, and a little voice in the back of his head said that might be a good thing because they were almost painted on to his skin, red and black in some kind of stretch fabric he couldn’t help but wonder how to synthesise himself.

Magic mishaps (or intentional annoyances) see Xephos replaced with his pre-minecraftia self. It turns out Xephos has a lot more hidden traumas than he's ever let anyone but Honeydew see.
