“Celebrimbor…” The voice was in his ear, and if he didn’t know better, Celebrimbor could have sworn he felt its breath against the back of his neck. Ridiculous. The creature didn’t breathe. “Look at me.”
The command had been soft, almost phrased as a request, but there was power behind the words. The spell that bound Celebrimbor to this creature, this Annatar, forced his compliance. He didn’t know when it had become too late – whether or not he’d been bound from the moment he’d let it back into his city… or if he’d perhaps been ensnared earlier. It hardly mattered at this point. There was no escape.
