Summary
Soap has been injured on the job.
When he wakes up in the hospital there's someone in the room with him. It's not who he was expecting and the shock has him feeling panicked and confused. The confusion only grows as time goes on.
He's entered some alternate dimension. Some crazy Twilight Zone that he can't escape from.
But no, it's real. This is all horribly real.

Summary
Soaps face feels hot for a moment like a kid who's been caught fist first in a cookie jar and he tries to idly slide his gaze away as if he was in thought. “Aye well. . . You’re a spooky son of a bitch L.t.” His eyes come back to his lieutenant’s face and in the trail upwards he notices something else, a scar that’s different from the rest.
It’s jagged and puffy, skin raised like it healed like shit. That’s nothing new though, what is different though is the fact that it looks like a dog the size of Clifford has taken a chunk out of Ghost’s shoulder. “Steamin' Jesus L.t. How’d ya’ get that one?”
Ghost paused, an ungloved hand reaching to rub at the scar. Soap is just as captivated by Ghost’s hands, how thick the fingers are and the callouses that cover them. How many screams has Ghost ripped from others with those same hands? How many bones broken, throats slit, threats destroyed by the very hands that Soap longs to kiss?
Kiss.
The thought shocks Soap for a moment. He’s thought about the lieutenant in. . . Personal ways but nothing more than a quick flash through his mind while he rubbed one out. He tries to swallow the revelation back when Ghost finally answers.
“Wolf hunting.”

Soap was used to being the odd man out. As the only human on an otherwise entirely-werewolf task force, he’d adjusted to the idea that he wasn’t always in on the joke. Mostly, anyway. There had still been some nasty surprises. But on the whole, he hadn’t been blindsided much by their eccentricities. Sure, they were werewolves, but they were loyal and ruthless and understanding and plain good company. He’d overlook a lot of things for far less.
This latest, though? This, he wasn’t so sure he could forgive.
