Patrick takes another sip of his coffee, and there's nothing but Morrissey's crooning of Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now to fill the silence. I pick stubbornly at my omelette, separating out the onions, thoughts wandering between karma and retribution and Ed Gein-esque diagrams of flayed bodies hidden in Patrick's study. Something about discotheques and hardbodies and gyrating coked-up twinks in lavender ties. I absently touch my collar and make sure it hangs snug against my neck, almost like a noose.
