Bio
By day, I'm a professional writer, and by night, I'm a fanfiction writer!
My professional activities center on journalism, copywriting, book-length how-tos and histories, and fiction.
My fan fiction, to date, is primarily in the Sherlock fandom, with occasional branches into Elementary, House, and other Sherlock Holmes incarnations. My aim is to limit the use of sex and violence in my work to things that are roughly equivalent to what was shown in the actual show, so most of my fanfics will be G- and T-rated. If you'd watch the show, you'll probably feel comfortable with my stories. I don't write slash.
I enjoy using my fiction to "connect the dots" between bits of information the viewer is given, so I write missing scene stories and stories full of conjecture about what was happening in the next room or what will happen in the next decade. I also enjoy trying to find the unique voice of each Holmes portrayal, and I will dabble in AUs if the mood strikes.
Of course, I acknowledge that characters and situations referenced in my works that come from other sources belong to the creators and owners of those sources. I'm not profiting from these works, except to the degree that they give me something happy to think about!
