Summary
In myth, Hermes lulled Argus Panoptes to sleep with music and divinity. Victory came easily. The thousand-eyed giant never stirred.
But not this time.
In this telling, Argus wakes. And before he dies for it, he wounds Hermes—an Olympian. A god.

Luke Castellan dies killing Kronos. But the Titan does not go quietly. In trying to halt the end, something else begins.

Summary
At school, they were taught that Guides were gentle. Nurturing. Made to soothe their Sentinels, to ground them, to serve.
They weren’t fighters.
They weren’t strong.
They posed no threat.
The League taught Jason the truth.
Few things in the world were more dangerous—or more terrifying—than a Guide.
Because a true Empath didn’t need to lift a weapon to destroy you. They only had to feel you—deep enough, long enough—and they could take you apart from the inside out.
Or: Having grown up on the streets, Jason thought he already understood the depths of human suffering. But awakening as a Guide shattered that illusion—because knowing pain was one thing. Feeling it, in all its raw, unfiltered truth from everyone around him, was something else entirely.
