    “Dean?” The older hunter froze at Sam’s voice, sucking in a shaky breath and willing the vomiting to be over.
    “M’fine, Sammy!” Dean grimaced at the tremor in his voice. Way to sound believable, Dean.
    “You don’t sound fine, Dean. Are you… puking?”

    Dean doesn't get sick. Except that when he does, he gets REALLY sick, and it's usually up to Sam to get him through it. OR Dean spikes a crazy fever complete with the stomach flu, and Sam takes care of him.

    Written for Whumptober 2023, and covers day two and three's prompts, "Thermometer" (and possibly also "Delirium") and "Make it stop". It also covers day 14's "Just hold on."

    Summary

    This is the story exploring the three guys' — Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak's — life and ups and downs of it.

    Family fluffiness, friendship, health difficulties, cupcakes, deep thoughts, angst, therapies, suppositories, strawberries and social awkwardness in the offering.

    Fluff and angst alternate and sometimes occur at the same time, just like in real life.

    The story splits into arcs. First arc is ready, second arc in making.

    First arc, "Caregiver": stories 1—16
    Second arc, "Sam Meets World": story 17 onward

    EDITING THE STORY 20th March 2025 onward: I'm changing the lines (which is a default setting where I live) to quotation marks for easier reading due to some kind feedback I've got. No changes in the plot will be made!
