Summary
And though neither would admit it, they looked forward to seeing each other much more than friends should. But both were convinced that they were, "…deep in the vice grip of unrequited love. Thwonk, by Joan Bauer". So it rose inside them, like water from a faucet freely gushing into a balloon, stretching and thinning the boundaries but never breaking skin.
Until it burst.

Summary
He wasn't looking where he was going, and then he bumped into someone, and as luck would have it the collision ended up staining a certain one-of-a-kind designer coat valuing more digits than Rin's entire Olympic career. Of course he offered to dry clean it for the little blue-eyed runt it was the least he could do (give him some credit Rin wasn't that big of a jerk).
But somehow what was supposed to be a quick apology meet-up turned out not so quick. Or apologetic, even. And now he couldn't get rid of the guy.

It was annoying at first, but he had to admit, when Klavier spoke German so boldly, so smoothly like that, Apollo couldn't help but listen to the garbled, beautiful nonsense.

Summary
It truly was impressive to see just how hopeless that man was for to Mydei. All anyone had to do was bring up the prince’s name, and Phainon’s ears would perk up like he had just heard a crucial detail to attack in a debate.
In fact, Hyacine mused, you probably didn’t even have to bring up Mydei's name. Phainon would inevitably derail any conversation into an ode to his muse’s greatness.
Or: Hyacine as she observes (against her will) the strange relationship between Phainon and Mydei over the years.

Summary
“I would level mountains to protect you, Xingqiu.” He whispers the words against Xingqiu’s lips, and his fingers trace up a path to his chin, tilting it up ever so slightly so that all Xingqiu can see are the blue of his eyes, his bluest eyes as he—
Xingqiu jolts up, face burning and blood rushing to his ears. His eyes dart to his surroundings. The window is still open, the moon peeking out from the corner. His bedside lamp is still on, the soft glow illuminating the room just enough for Xingqiu to make out the novel he’d been reading, overturned and lying next to him.
So I…
He stretches a hand to his back. His fingers touch the silk of his sleepwear.
Oh.
// or, 5 times Xingqiu dreams about Chongyun and the 1 time Xingqiu isn’t dreaming.

Summary
“You’re freezing! What’s the point if you–”
“Come now, Yunyun! Every good story has a point where the protagonists face hardships or peril. Think of this as our hero’s journey,” Xingqiu grinned, though he was sure it came off more as a grimace with the way he was fighting to keep all the warmth from leaving his body. “Ah, normally in this kind of weather I’d be tucked away inside with a good book.”
-OR-
Xingqiu gets attacked by cryo whopperflowers in Dragonspine and begins to suffer the effects of hypothermia. Chongyun makes sure his boyfriend gets warmed up in the best way possible.

Summary
“Mr. Liu,” Xingqiu said in warning. “The Guild is a very powerful enemy to make. Please step back.”
“My company will be just as powerful, and then what?” Mr. Liu laughed. Xingqiu could smell his breath, he was so close.
In an instant, so quick that Xingqiu could blink and miss it, the tip of a blade stabbed the ground between Mr. Liu’s feet.
“I believe he told you to step back.”
Xingqiu’s head shot up at the sound of the voice, a touch foreign but wholly familiar. Chongyun. His heart started to race so hard he was afraid it was audible.Or; Chongyun has been gone for nine years. So much has changed and yet, the one that that seemingly hasn't is Xingqiu's heart.
