Summary
Happy stepped in front of Peter, "Are you here on your own accord?" He glanced at Tony with clear distrust, which was slightly fair in all honesty. Peter kept his face bored, raising an eyebrow. Happy faltered for a second before doubling down. "I mean it, I will take you home right now, we can call May." It struck him funny, how no one had any idea how much his world had warped upon itself in such a short time.
How long would it have taken them to notice May had moved, to notice how Peter's world was burning down around him if he didn't fuck up?
"Thanks, dude," the nickname would have gotten a scoff or some light threat in the past, but Happy only watched him. "I can make my own choices, grown man rights and all that. But A for effort, stepping in for the little guy." Peter made his words sharp, clapping sarcastically.
"Peter, I owe you a massive apology, I just need you to-"
"Don't give a flying fuck, keep it." He threw up a peace sign, shoving his hands into his pockets again as he wandered towards Tony, unbothered. Stark was watching him with an expression that told Peter that he didn't recognize him at that moment. But Peter didn't care, they could both eat dirt. He was done with them.

Like Howard used to say, if you want to get things done right, do it yourself. So he did. He knew what he saw, and he had an idea as to what was coming. He had hoped to take that on with the Avengers, but there were enough other people out there who would be willing to help (willing and much more open to getting to know him, and to work as a team)

Nothing could have gone more wrong.
Tony Stark had been betrayed, abandoned and hurt...his own friends turning their backs on him, unsure of his own feelings for the woman he was meant to love and the fate of the world on his shoulders. Tony Stark did what was needed and sacrificed himself to save the world, giving his life to save everyone.

Four months after the Homecoming dance, Peter Parker's life is largely unchanged. Ned knows his secret now, and so does Aunt May, which means there are a few more rules and a few more consequences, but there's been radio silence from Tony Stark. Peter isn't really bitter; he knows the man is busy, and that his own work is hardly consequential, but still... it'd be nice to hear something.
One day, he does. It isn't what he expects. It isn't what Tony expects, either.
Both drawn together and pulled apart by past trauma, Tony and Peter attempt to navigate their now connected lives. New threats are faced while politics rage, and eventually words are the greatest threat of all. Words, and the ever-looming possibility of a real, actual future. Maybe, for Tony, all hope isn't lost. Summary
Watching his hero, his mentor and friend die before him, Peter is unwilling to live in a world without Tony Stark. Moments after Thanos’ defeat, he takes the battered gauntlet from Tony’s burnt arm and snaps. The stones may not be able to bring back Tony, but Peter is willing to give up everything and go back to when Thanos made his first move. Hopefully, the newly formed Avengers would let him explain before locking him up. They had a war to prepare for and Earth's Greatest Defender to save.
