Summary
Randy Walsh looks to get closer to Shauna Shipman, and he worries his intellect (or lack thereof) will be a stumbling block. So he enlists the quiet, weird Melissa to help him craft adequately smart love letters to Shauna. Little does Randy know, Melissa’s been harboring a crush of her own on Shauna for years, and jumps at the opportunity to get closer to her, even if through a surrogate. Shauna’s best friend, Jackie, is eager for her to date Randy, while Shauna has harbored her own crush on Jackie since they were children. Melissa may have inadvertently placed herself in the middle of a house of cards with a leaf blower, and hopefully she’ll be able to catch the queen when the cards all fall down.

Without saying a word Melissa shifted the truck back into drive and pulled off. Normally Shauna would have said something about kidnapping or being held against her will, but in this case all she did was settle back into the seat. She didn’t know where Melissa was taking her but she honestly didn’t care. Anything was better than another evening of listening to her parents fight.
