“But!” Kaminari shot upwards again, nearly giving Eijiro whiplash. He turned to face him head-on with a determined look on his face. “That’s not the issue here.”
Eijiro frowned. “What’s the issue, then?”
“I need a boyfriend.”
“Okay?” He looked at his best friend. “Then why are you here?”
Kaminari sighed, steepling his fingers in front of him. “Okay, let me rephrase: be my boyfriend.”
Uh.
“Dude… what?”
Of all the ways Eijiro had imagined his Sunday afternoon going, this definitely hadn’t been one of them.
OR: Kaminari needs a fake boyfriend and Kirishima so graciously offers to help him out, 'cause it's the manly thing to do. Surely it won't snowball into a convoluted web of lies and misunderstandings, and it DEFINITELY won't mess anything up with his friendship with the explosive boy he's been pining after for years, right?

Ruffled hair and cinnamon apples.
Those were the first two things that came to Denki’s mind when it came to Sero Hanta.
The way the wind played with his hair in the cool autumn air, twisting and tousling and leaving it a veritable mess that somehow always stayed on the side of “attractively windswept” rather than “haggard bridge goblin”, the way Denki’s was wont to do.
The way his smile lit up the room and his laugh rang clear through the air, and the way he always smelled of freshly baked goods.
It was quickly becoming Denki’s favourite smell.

Summary
There was only so much you could do to a dead man, you see, before he became more of a liability than an advantage. In theory, the idea of not killing Ghost— of keeping him alive, taking him back to the base and torturing all the information they could get out of him was a good one. However, in practice, the issue became more complicated.
Or— Ghost is sent home to recover after being victim to cartel torture, and then Soap shows up.

Frenchie laughs.
He laughs, and the sound is so unexpected that Izzy startles, heart thumping unevenly in his chest, breath caught in his throat. His chin tilts and his eyes squint and his nose wrinkles with it, and it strikes Izzy that he’s never heard Frenchie laugh before. Not properly, not like this.
I could care for you, Izzy thinks, sudden and violent as a bolt of lightning splitting a mast.
I could care for you, if I chose to.

In which Frenchie unofficially usurps Izzy as first mate, and they both also fall in love a little bit.
Featuring an entirely baffled and unwillingly charmed Izzy Hands, Frenchie playing the long game, Edward Teach Makes a Friend, Fang And Ivan My Beloveds, a suitably murderous Jim Jimenez, and a very spiteful and pissed off ghost in the walls.

“Courtesy of everyone’s favourite unhinged pirate captain.”
“Fucking insane motherfucker’s lost his fucking mind.”
A dagger slammed into the panneling mere inches from Lucius’ left ear, and he drew a shaky breath. “Oooo-kay, so you’re, like, really upset about how he’s coping with his breakup, and I get that, I do, but would it really make you feel better to kill me?”
The measured calculation in Jim’s eyes made Lucius regret phrasing it that way.
“What I’m saying is, wouldn’t you rather save all the murder-y stuff for Blackbeard, hm?”

or, Lucius decides to haunt Blackbeard to the point of insanity as revenge, because why kill a guy when you can terrorise his every waking moment?

Slowburn, eventual poly schenanigans. If you squint real hard you can extend the poly pile.
