[BOOK ONE IN THE DRAGON TAMER SERIES]
In the aftermath of the Doom of Valyria, House Vahrarys-one of the last surviving dragonlord families-returns to Westeros cloaked in secrets, power, and ancient flame. Lyrah Vahrarys, sharp-tongued and untamed, is bound by duty to marry Prince Daemon Targaryen, forging a political alliance meant to tether her dragonfire to the Iron Throne.
But Lyrah is no obedient bride.
Forced to consummate her marriage under the eyes of the court, Lyrah endures a brutal tradition meant to strip her of autonomy and crown her a spectacle. Yet even in pain, she does not break. Daemon, reckless and unrepentant, shields her in ways no one expects-becoming both weapon and refuge as the two clash, burn, and slowly begin to understand the dangerous power in choosing one another.
As whispers coil through court and old blood rises from beneath the stone, Lyrah must navigate venomous politics, a tyrannical mother, and the treacherous pull of her own heart. Bound by fire, fear, and the ghosts of Valyria, she refuses to kneel-not to kings, not to tradition, not even to love.
Because some dragons were never meant to be tamed.

Summary
"You're a dragon. Be a dragon."
Daenerys Targaryen did not conquer the Bay of Dragons to be painted as a poor strategist.
Dany sets foot on Dragonstone—the first Targaryen to do so since Robert's Rebellion—and gets to work. She sets her sights on King's Landing while whispers of the Long Night are growing louder. While the Red Priestess is insistent on Dany's role in the Azor Ahai prophecy,
But Dragonstone offers more than just a place to dock for the last Targaryen. In the keep built by the Conqueror, Dany finds traces of her family's past. With her new knowledge of dragonlore, Valyrian history, and blood magic, she's ready to take back the Iron Throne.
Until a white-haired, red-eyed Jon Snow arrives on her doorstep, fresh from his resurrection yet it appears some of him was left behind.
Or: How seasons 7 and 8 would have looked like if anyone bothered to pay attention to GRRM's written word thus far.

Summary
From an early age, the Stark children had instinctively selected the stoic and quiet figure of their lord father, Ned Stark, as their role model. However, fate can prove to be quite unpredictable, characterized by unforeseen events and erratic changes.
Ned Stark had been beheaded in King's Landing by order of King Joffrey Baratheon after being accused of treason under false pretenses. Consequently, the Stark children lost their role model and found themselves choosing a new one. This time, the task fell into the young hands of Robb Stark, their eldest brother, the heir, the boy who, after years of foreign rule, had earned back the title of King in the North.
But in the end, Robb Stark had also fallen (or at least that's what the Seven Kingdoms liked to think), and so the Stark children found themselves having to choose yet another role model. This time, the task had fallen to Jon Snow, their bastard brother, but a brother nonetheless. They were sure he would have protected them. Now, their only goal was to head North, to head to Jon.
