Summary
There’s nothing better than coming home to his boyfriend after a hard day. Letting Eddie spoil him in the sweet ways he always does, with massages and kisses and other things, to help him relax and take his mind off the stress sitting like a thorn in his tense muscles.
God, the thought alone is enough to draw a content little sigh out of him when he hurries to unlock the door, eager to fall into Eddie’s arms and forget everything else.
Only when Steve enters, he can barely catch himself from stumbling and falling over the piles of shoes scattered all across the floor.

Wayne always says, if someone wants to leave, you shouldn’t try to hold them back. Always tells Eddie that once they’re out of your life, it’s better not to wish for them to return.
But the thing is, Steve isn’t someone.
He’s the one.

Summary
Steve doesn’t blame him for leaving, for wanting to protect him, but that doesn’t make it any easier to accept. Doesn’t make it hurt less that Eddie’s gone now without a trace, impossible to reach or find or call out to.
‘It’s better that way,’ he’d said and didn’t even give Steve a chance to argue or to decide for himself if it’s worth the risk. A risk Steve would’ve taken without hesitation because whatever Eddie was so afraid of, could’ve never been worse than this state of sadness, and longing, and helpless clinging to hope where there is none.

Summary
Steve shouldn't have listened to Robin but it seemed like the perfect solution at the time.
Now, he's not so sure anymore, because Eddie still hasn't said a word, is still looking at him with these big, brown eyes and his mouth hanging open. His dumb expression is almost cute but that's not the point. The point is-
"You want me to what?"

Finding an available bathroom at the house parties Eddie works doesn't always go so well. Normally it's no big deal to piss in a dark corner outside, but things change when Steve shows up.

Summary
Eddie Munson is sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of Chrissy Cunningham in July of 1986.
Despite everyone’s best efforts, the government did not seem as hellbent on helping him prove his innocence as they did to make sure everyone kept their mouths shut. Hopper and Nancy put more time into pleading his case than any of the fancy lawyers the feds sent to handle it.
Apparently, a biased jury and judge didn’t much care for whatever proof Nancy had.
At least he looks alright in orange.
or: The government fails Eddie Munson, but Steve Harrington gives him a dangerous thing: hope.

Summary
mutualism [myü-chə-wə-ˌli-zəm] · noun
the doctrine that mutual dependence is necessary to social well-being
Eddie Munson has a body that can bend, a body that can break, a body that can piece itself back together over and over again. He can’t help but seek out every thrill his newfound immortality brings, running away from danger no more. And when he first sees Steve again, he knows exactly what he needs from him.
Steve Harrington has a body made of rage, a body made of his father’s temper, a body made of explosives itching for a light. He can’t help but fight and claw his way to what he thinks may be a less lonely world with bloody knuckles and a half-crazed smile. And when he first sees Eddie again, he knows exactly what he wants from him.
Against all odds, they somehow make it work. This is, after all, a love story.

Summary
In 1998, 72.5 million passengers passed through Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
One of them was Steve Harrington. In fact, a lot of them were Steve Harrington. Every Friday, just like clockwork, he strides off flight 303 from JFK to ORD, in his suit and tie, phone plastered to his ear.
Somewhere else in Chicago, Eddie Munson's life is pretty good. He lives with his best friend. He works nights at a bar he loves. No, it's not what he'd imagined his life was gonna be like at thirty-two, because Steve isn't here, and there was a time he couldn't ever imagine living his life without him.
But he has, and it's fine, everything's fine. Honest.
He's accepted it. Fortunately, the universe, and Gareth, have not.
After a chance sighting in that busy airport, Eddie has the chance to try and reconnect with Steve after nearly a decade apart.
