When he arrives he didn’t realize there would be one big problem: he’s insanely attracted to the worlds greatest detective leading it.
Why is this a problem you ask?
All deductive reasoning goes out the window when he sees him, and that’s all Light can bring to the case.

They looked at each other. It was like the handcuffs were back on.
“It’s true. I’m in love with you.” Light didn’t know what tone of voice would be believable.
“Prove it.”
The room was completely still.
“You think I’m Kira?” L nodded.
“I do.”
“Then prove it.” More stillness. Then- a grin split L’s face.
OrIn order to convince Ryuzaki of his innocence,
