A traumatic brain injury leads to a downward spiral for Steve. He's dropped from the Blackhawks, his recovery is slow and rocky, and he's got no idea what to do with his life.
Enter his old friends, Eddie and Dustin, who spend their time poking around decrepit haunted locations filming for their YouTube channel. Steve doesn't really believe in all this ghost stuff, but he's got nothing better to do than join them.
Besides, he might just be ever-so-slightly head-over-heels for Eddie Munson.

“A problem?!” Eddie exclaims and huffs out a breath, hands on his hips. “I don’t know. How about you tell me? Is this a joke?”
“Is what a joke, uh, Sir?”
“This,” Eddie whisper-shouts, picks up some rose petals, and throws them in the air.
“Oh,” Michael answers, eyes wide in panic. “Oh, I’m sorry, Sir. That was my idea. I thought it would be a nice touch–uh, since this is your, uh–”
Eddie unwittingly softens at seeing the boy panic. “This is my— what?”
“Well, this is our honeymoon suite, Sir.”

“I’ve been trying not to have this talk…” She’s looking everywhere but at him.A chill runs down his spine. “I think we should have it… I - I need it. If you don’t want to, it's okay. I get it. That’s enough of an answer… But I do think I need to hear it. The more time we spend together, the more I keep forgetting this is supposed to be fake. And this hasn’t felt fake for a while now. At least not to me.”
He can see her conflicted face. She’s too transparent.
He sighs, resigned. He’s sure that if they’re quiet enough, she can hear the sound of his heart shattering. “Does that mean you finally came up with a reason to break up with me then? Please tell me it’s not super herpes…”
She barks a laugh, but also looks on the brink of tears. “I - I should be honest with you.”Steve’s heart falls to his ass.
Right on time for her to stomp all over it.Because here it is. This has to be the moment when she breaks his heart.
