Summary
College student Eijirou is an alpha with a unique problem. He can't stand the smell of omega pheromones. Even the scent of his own mother tends to make his nose twitch and his stomach curl. Because of that, he's never been in a real relationship. As an alpha, people expect him to date an omega. So when his friends from school suggest going to a maid cafe, he's understandably apprehensive. Those types of establishments usually employee mostly omegas.
When they reach the Umbrella Café, the building is unassuming. It doesn't stand out, and he wonders if they're even in the right place. Inside, the women are dressed cutely in their maid costumes and the restaurant overwhelms his senses, but to his surprise, Eijirou is attracted to the pretty blonde omega waitress that goes by the name Erika-chan. Her pheromones make his stomach do backflips rather than curl into knots and it thoroughly confuses him. He keeps coming back to the café for Erika-chan's surly demeanor and delectable scent until an incident occurs and he learns that maybe Erika-chan isn't exactly what he thought.

Summary
When Eijirou's ship is claimed by the sea during a nasty storm, he's blown overboard and knocked unconscious, falling to the depths of the deep blue. He should have been dead, drowned and lost to the sea to be ferried away to the next life. Instead, he wakes up in an underwater cavern, rescued by a mysterious ship captain that offers him a choice: 1) join his crew and help shepherd lost souls, or 2) be killed by the captain's hands and move onto the afterlife. There is no option three. Unable to go back to whom he once was and unready to die, Eijirou joins the captain and becomes the newest member of the legendary ghost ship The Flying Dutchman. He desires to know about the strange bond that connects him to the captain, and finds a new family in his crewmates, even if most of them have been dead for hundreds of years.
