The Men of this world will have to protect their own communities, which they've refused to welcome us into, and realise what a world without Witchers looks like. This cannot continue, and we won't allow it to. Come to Kaer Morhen and meet your brothers from across the world. We are waiting for you.
When the Fleet of the School of the Crane receives the call from Kaer Morhen, it doesn't take long for them to pack their bags and walk across the Continent to find the Blue Mountains, and their brothers.

It’s the most terrifying thing Jaskier has ever seen.
It must be the case for Geralt as well, because he’s been staring at the thing without moving an eyelash ever since he dodged the swipe of the monster’s massive arm. Geralt had simply fallen backward and not caught himself in the fall, ending up sitting back as he looks up at the beast. Motionless.
There is no plan, no grand gesture ready for him to perform. All he knows is this: Geralt is not moving and thus Geralt is going to die. That is unacceptable in Jaskier’s world.

“J-Joker,” she manages, panting from the effort.
“Thank fuck. Dammit, thank fuck.”There’s a shuffling sound, the rustle of fabric and a long, deep groan of pain. Then, warmth, blessed warmth exploding over her skin. It takes a moment for her fried nerves to identify the source of the holy feeling. Joker wrapped his hand around her right wrist, one of the only parts of her body that isn’t constantly screaming at her to take a bullet to the head and end the torture.
“Wassup,” she chokes out.
A hysterical chuckle escapes from Joker’s mouth, right next to her face. She can feel his warm breath on her bruised cheek, and the feeling settles something wild inside of her.
“What’s up, she asks, buried underneath forty tons of snow and concrete.”

It's Tanabata, Shikamaru and Sakura are going home. There's an explosion of colours in the sky, and Shikamaru flinches at the noise. Without looking up, Sakura reaches back and grabs the hand pushing her chair. She breathes slowly, loudly. He copies her rhythm and stops moving. They just stand there for a while, hand in hand, as the flashes of colours wash them away. When his heart has slowed and his breathing is quiet, Shikamaru crouches next to her, and she just smiles.
Life is good.
