Summary
As the sublingual tablet dissolved from the space under Tommys tongue, he felt the effects of the drug begin to take place.
The high that came with the intake of the opioid. The drooping of his shoulders that only happened in the comfort of the pain relief.
He felt so warm.
It was bad for him, he knew it was bad for him, but god was it so relieving.

Tommy’s got an extreme drug addiction and has to learn to cope after getting sent to the hospital due to a dangerous drug intake. This is how SBI come to learn that the youngest amongst them has been messing around with multiple illegal substances right under their noses.

“I have no interest in joining the Syndicate.”
“I don’t think we particularly care about your interest.” Their booth seemed to grow ten times darker. “And we aren’t asking.”
Tommy felt a fire grow in his stomach, overpowering his nerves. After everything he had been through, no one got to treat him like some child that had no say in his own life. “I will never join you… prick.”
Cantor looked a bit taken aback, but he recovered quickly.
“Well now let’s never say never!” Cantor said, happy as ever. He sighed as he continued, as if he had just been told off for not doing his chores. “I really didn’t want it to end this way but…”
The temperature of the room seemed to drop off. “I look forward to watching you eat those words.”
OR
Tommy is a vigilante who is (sort of) working with the heroes, and the Syndicate can't let him roam free with how dangerous his powers could be. Everyone knows information is more powerful than a fist. Meanwhile the Craft family is trying to get the kid they've invited into their hearts to trust them. Tommy just wants to see the next day, but as Palpabilis or Tommy, no one can seem to leave him alone.
