Summary
“You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone forever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own, than when you almost broke it eight years and a half ago.”
-Jane Austen, PersuasionHarry has this hollowness inside him. At the age of 30, he still can’t shuck this self-inflicted despair off his shoulders. This narrative however, is about a year-long pause in his misery meander. The year he traded his bustling life in the city to a rural cliffside town where the latest bulletin was an upcoming pie-baking competition. Waves in such shades of blue and green that he saw never before and ever since. He danced to an altogether different rhythm in the year of 2012. That year he was a writer, a dreamer and a lover.
-OR- Harry had long accepted that he was meant to be a one-hit wonder author and a loner. Bad-mouthing the characters based on himself and his former lover, a decade later, hinders his resolve when the video goes viral and Louis shows up at his doorstep.

Summary
“Mmm,” Tyler is still looking down at the traffic from the edge of the dwindling railing. Our minds are seeping together to form that one sinister thought. I ignore it. He doesn’t. The next second, Tyler is straddling my thighs. “I know that, sugar.” He prods his index finger on the crumbling plaster of the wall against my shoulders while his thumb finds its way under the collar of my shirt. The simple fondling makes each bone tingle- infuriating me so much that I wish to haul the both of us down the building, face first on the road. The image of our skulls cracking; the mushy brain being displayed like a salvaged artistic creation on the four way intersection makes me giddy.
“No wonder you’re not afraid of the dark,” his smile mirrors mine. “Nothing outside this could throw you into a state of blue funk as what’s inside,” Tyler digs his nails into my forehead. “Your mind is a landmine.”
The last bit sounds so sonorous to me, like something I’d write at the end of my haiku after pondering for hours. Knowing Tyler, he’s probably got this from a song we’ll never chance upon again.-OR- a disintegrating and decaying fifteen-storey building on the other part of the town is their idea of a romantic getaway

Summary
"The flowers that we'd grown together died of thirst…”
Harry and Louis hit the rock bottom in their relationship. Turns out, there’s no rock bottom if you have a shovel; you can always dig deeper and crawl further into the endless space until there’s a crater in your heart where all the love was treasured.
-OR- Louis visits a flower shop in his last-ditch attempt to hold on to at least something they had.

Summary
When Willow first told Louis they’d broken up, he had felt a flicker of something sharp, something wrong, relief. Maybe even thrill. A sick little jolt of electricity in his chest, like something that had been strangled inside him for almost a year had been let go.
That had been before, when he thought Willow took the breakup pretty well, and she said they both decided it was for the best to part ways to fully focus on their professional lives.
Now, there’s only guilt.
Guilt because the last thing Louis ever wanted was to see his best friend hurt, not over a man.
Especially not over Harry Styles.
Or; Louis’ newest best friend gets her heart broken by Harry Styles—his childhood friend and the first person who ever broke his heart. Now she wants Louis to mess with Harry and his current relationships just enough to soothe her pride. Louis knows he should say no, but anything involving Harry has always been his weak spot.

Summary
“Seriously, Harry? Again?” Louis huffs, crossing his arms as the alpha ducks into his den like he owns the place. “That’s the third time this month.”
Harry pretends to look half-embarrassed, but the faint curl of his mouth gives him away. Louis sighs, already reaching for his supplies. He’d be concerned if he didn’t know how fast wolves healed or how much Harry seemed to enjoy testing that fact. At this point, Louis is starting to think the alpha’s wounds aren’t accidents at all.
Or: Louis is the pack’s healer bound by duty, with no time for romance. Harry is the pack’s alpha who seems determined to change that by any means necessary.

Summary
The kneeling girl turns her head, just slightly, just enough that Louis can see her face in profile. His eyes narrow, zooming in as far as the lens allows. She hesitates, the smallest flinch in the way her hand falters in the other’s grip, like something inside her is pulling away from the ritual.
Louis swallows, lowering the camera for half a second to blink, because what he sees can’t be right.
Not the white, glazed eyes like the others. Not vacant or empty. But sharp, alive, green.
Striking green.
His breath stutters. He knows those eyes. He’s traced every shade of them in memory, dreamed of them, stared too long across teacups and candlelight.
or, the one where Louis arrives in a small town to photograph the Hare Girls, for his new series about the uncanny. What he doesn't anticipate, is being pulled into the town's mysteries, and into the orbit of Harry, the sweet tea room owner who seems to be connected to it all.
