Summary
You’ve been dating Vander for two months, and everything is perfect—at least, it should be. He has perfect manners, a perfect friend group, even the perfect dog. Your friends promise you that the strange feeling that something is “off” is leftover trauma from your past relationships, and once you get used to getting treated right, it will fade away.
Then you meet his brother.
Silco is everything Vander is not. He’s particular, moody, and at times even petulant, and his troubled past gave him a taste for self-destructive habits he can’t quite seem to shake. You know getting closer is a bad idea, but you can’t help yourself, and soon you find yourself towing the same strange line as everyone else in Vander’s life: holding your breath, pretending that everything is perfectly fine, knowing that this wonderful lie you have created together could come crashing down at any moment.
