Charlotte sat ready for her evening ballet recital, the very first of many to come. Her red leotard shimmered as she hopped down from her seat, nude tights tucked underneath. Her cheeks were blushed a sheer pink, while her eyelids shined with silver glitter. Even her lips had been painted a soft Merlot.
“No, papa did it,” she replied nonchalantly, dropping her cup and plate off in the sink.

‘Hang on I have to take this’ Will said as he walked to the opposite side of the lab keeping his back to the room to press the answer button, accidentally putting it on speaker.
‘DADDY! tell Papa he is being so unfair, you have to tell him that he is wrong’ a kid's voice yelled through the phone, echoing around the lab.
He swore under his breath and fumbled to get it off speaker. ‘One moment honey’ he said in a slightly panicked tone. ‘Ok what is it sweetheart?’ Will sighed, still on edge but now off speaker.
