  Summary

  Mary: Shooting Sherlock will cause John pain, but being outed to him as assassin will do so as well. (He's more pliant in grief than anger.)
  John: Going back to Mary will make me unhappy and put us in danger. Not going back to her will make her unhappy and put us in more danger.
