Adrien is bored. It's time for a little mischief...
He makes a new instagram account and calls it AdrienAgresteIsChatNoir. On it he posts an advertisement he was in as Adrien next to a blurry shot of Chat Noir pole-yeeting himself away, with the elbows in both photos outlined in MSPaint bright red, and captions it “THEIR ELBOWS ARE THE SAME SHAPE. ADRIEN AGRESTE IS CHAT NOIR, CONFIRMED.”
Paris pretty much agrees with him: this is hilarious.

“Hey, mum.” Adrien’s voice rang out softly in the small courtyard. The ground was warm beneath him and the late afternoon sun lit the world a fierce gold. He ran his fingers over the rough paving stones before raising his head to meet the stony eyes of his mother’s statue, sitting serene and tranquil in the alcove surrounded by rose bushes.
“I found out who Hawkmoth is today.”

Wang Fu knows how important it is to keep balance between Tikki and Plagg's wielders.
He also knows it would be dangerous for Hawkmoth to know Ladybug and Chat Noir are the new Guardians.
So instead of naming them as his successors by the names 'Adrien and Marinette', or 'Chat Noir and Ladybug', he names them as his successors using their other hero identities.

Would she transform in front of him? Would she reveal her identity once her mission was accomplished, when they would give their miraculous back ?
But never, never had he dreamed of a shy "I am Ladybug" confessed by one of his classmates, in the middle of their classroom and in front of all the other students.
