Summary
Gabriel Novak and Simon Tam were friends through their families, and their school. Both of their siblings, Castiel and River, went to an advanced academy when they were fourteen. When they found out that there was something wrong, they worked together for two years to get their siblings out again. They finally managed it. So Gabriel and Simon boarded Serenity at Persephone, and ran away.
They ended up dealing with an angry captain, coldhearted Alliance, and savage Reavers. Not to mention everything in between. But at least they're still alive, right?
*Rated M because of implied torture with the Alliance academy thing and lots of language.

Summary
As usual, Merlin has utterly failed in keeping a low profile by inadvertently getting himself dragged into a mess of a situation that appears to have something to do with a seemingly unkillable snake man, a toad woman, an order of phoenixes, and a boy named Harry Potter who, he quickly finds, is equally bemused by his current predicament. When he discovers how lost the boy is, he resolves to help him and his friends get rid of this dark lord--as well as their malignant (and worse, ineffectual) new teacher.

Summary
There's an itch in his fingers and the Doctor takes a step backwards, patting his pockets until he surfaces with a broken golf pencil and a crumpled mess that had once been part of a receipt from some 27th century outlet mall but is now a glorious bit of scrap paper. He scribbles a number on it that belongs to a cellphone that he barely checks these days.
"Tell you what, give me a call if you need anything, and I'll see if I can pull a few strings. Can't have anyone left behind, can we?"
The Doctor crosses paths with O on his first day of work at MI6 and gives him his phone number in case he needs anything. It's a while before O finally sends that first text.
