Summary
'The plan was simple, there is really no reason to run through it with Bdubs again. They would simply walk into the office, take the speaker's notes on the bill off of her desk, and walk out without a hitch. It truly is that simple. The bill itself is also simple, and not of great importance, no one should notice its even missing. A law criminalising the use of plastic cutting boards in commercial kitchens? No one would have voted for it either way!
But still. Any excuse to hang out with Bdubs is a worthy excuse in Ethos eyes.'

"Welcome," a robotic voice chimes. Scar jumps slightly, his face flushing as Grian laughs at him, pointing to the ground. In front of them sits a clean, white plastic disc. Blue LED lights decorate its circumference, softly fading in and out.
"Is that a Roomba?" he asks, leaning forward on his cane to get a closer look.
"I am TE-K3. Welcome to the HMS shuttle, Scar Good-Time." The robot said, spinning in place. Scar's eyes were wide with wonder as he grinned at the little bot.
"Oh this is just incredible,"or- Third life among us au.

Summary
"Have you ever cared?" Bdubs murmurs into the thin air of the night; presses his face into Etho's side and traces a burning, anger-fueled 'I love you' into his thigh. There'd be a mark there in the morning, a mark that displayed the tenuous constraints of whatever they were, a monument in the vast, terrrifying abyss of ocean.
"I care." Etho winds his hand in Bdubs' mess of hair, stroking soft, gentle, as if this all means something to him.
He doesn't think it does. He knows Bdubs knows this. But, he lies anyways, because that's what they do. They lie and say they're functional and then they kill eachother.

It’s strange. Only now, confronted with the very thing he came down here to find, is reality enforcing itself upon Bdubs.
This is impossible. Maybe the blackbox of Etho’s AI could be retrieved, but at a depth of 36,000 feet his netherite-fibered body would have lasted six seconds at most before his lovely face pulverized. Whatever’s left might as well be a husk of radiation. He is not outside the submersible. No one is.
And still. A knock on the door. One-two-three. Polite and patient.
(At the bottom of the ocean, Bdubs studies microbes with the help of the CONCORP android Etho. They are not alone.)
