Summary
It’s just that she’s known Shauna so long the idea of not having some piece of her around is foreign, almost to the point of being disorienting. Like she’d woken up, only to discover that she’d forgotten how to walk.
So, she has this: seven digits, scribbled in brand new pen, tucked away for her to take out and run her fingers over whenever she’s feeling sentimental.

Summary
“Jackie, cut it out, you’re acting like a child.” Shauna’s voice was stern, her frustration growing increasingly evident. “But Shaunaaa, I miss you”, Jackie whines, wide eyed. They hold eye contact for a short while, as quiet engulfs the room. No more annoying commentary, no more soft humming from the static of the TV speakers. Silence. Jackie fiddles with a seam coming undone on the sofa, waiting in suspense for Shauna’s response. “Okay baby. I understand. Wait there, I’ll be right back”. Huh. That was easy. Almost too easy. Jackie was confused, but she wasn’t about to complain."
