/In the studio/
“Hobi! Get up!” Hoseok groans at the sound of his best friend's voice ringing in his ears. He understood why he was being loud but it's unreasonable to yell in his ear.
“Jimin-ah. If you yell like that, how am I supposed to hear the music when I dance?” The elder asks jokingly. Jimin slaps his shoulder in response, grinning at his hyung’s fake hurt gasp.
“Learn how to control your strength Minnie.” Hoseok teases, standing up from his spot against the mirror.
“Learn how to pick your song the night before.” Jimin fires back, straightening out his hood.
“Speaking of which, did you pick a song?” Hoseok asks, checking the time on his phone.
“I told Suga hyung we'd do a song he wanted.”
“You're whipped for your boyfriend.”
“Shut up!” Jimin retorts, frowning. Hoseok laughs before putting space between him and the younger in case he had to run.
“So did hyung answer?” He asks as the younger’s phone vibrates.
“Is that Yoongi hyung?” Jimin shakes his head no, scrolling through something.
“You remember that Q&A video you did last week?” Jimin asks, sitting down with his back leaning against the wall mirror.
“Yeah. What’s going on?”
“Someone started the hashtag ‘HopeJin’ with a link to the video, quoting the joke you made about Kim Seokjin.” Jimin explains, showing his phone Hoseok.
“So it’s got a lot of retweets? Nothing’s gonna happen.” Hoseok shrugs, laughing. Hoseok picks up his water bottle, sipping from it.
“Seokjin sunbaenim responded.” Hoseok nearly got strangled on his water, shocked to his core.
“What did he say?!” Hoseok yells, grabbing Jimin’s shoulders.
“Calm down or I won’t be able to read it.” Jimin complains, staring down at his phone. Hoseok lightens the grip he has on the younger’s shoulders, waiting as patiently as possible.
“He says, ‘If I like his dancing, I’ll hit him up.’ with a smiley face at the end. There are tons of comments vouching for you too.” Jimin teases, grinning at the shocked elder.
“The Kim Seokjin is considering taking dance lessons from me?” Hoseok mumbles, still unbelieving of the situation.
“Are you okay hyung? Can you record today?” Jimin asks, very concerned for his friend. Hoseok shakes his head, which is still trying to process the news.
“I think I’ll postpone it until tomorrow.” Hoseok mutters and Jimin nods, standing up.
“Should I drive us home today? You don’t look well.”
“Please do Minnie.” At that Jimin laughs, Hoseok chuckling a little with him.

Chapter Text
/Next day/
Hoseok follows his daily routine of getting ready for the day, still thinking about what had happened yesterday. He still didn’t know whether he wanted it to be joke or not. The very idea of teaching a celebrity, especially one as amazing (and, he could easily admit, handsome), how to dance.
Hoseok’s day passes him by fairly quickly. Nothing too eventful happened other than one of his friends getting bitten by the cat he brought into the studio. Needless to say, Hoseok was tired (as usual) by the time he and Jimin got home.
“I call the shower!” Jimin yells, somehow managing to run into the bathroom as soon as the front door opened.
“You brat!” Hoseok yells after him, not really having the energy to do anything else. Hoseok drags his body over to the couch, flopping down on it. He takes his phone out of his pocket and scrolls through his social media, mainly Twitter. He’s been watching his DM’s, with both excitement and fear.
“The shower’s free now Hobi hyung.” Jimin calls, poking his head out. He wished he could shower longer but then Hoseok wouldn’t make him breakfast if he used up all the hot water. He didn’t think the elder took hot showers so seriously until he woke up the next morning with no breakfast or Hoseok in sight.
“Alright!” Hoseok answers, groaning as his aching body protests against his movements.
His phone was left alone on the couch until Jimin walks into the living room just as the phone buzzes, Twitter notification popping up. Along with the rest of the social media Hoseok has.
“Oh, Hobi hyung is gonna have a heart attack when he sees this.”
Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Chapter Text
“Breathe hyung! Breathe!”
“Stop yelling in my ear!”
“Sorry.” Jimin backs away from Hoseok, making sure he’s not in arms reach of the other man. Not that Hoseok was going to hit him, he’s frozen to his seat to begin with.
Kim Seokjin is following all of his social media accounts. All of them. He kind of thinks it’s a cruel joke and he doesn’t know if he’s okay with that or not.
“If I died right now, I wouldn’t mind.” Hoseok jokes, earning a playful shoulder shove from Jimin.
“Don't be so- Oh!” Jimin gasps, pointing at Hoseok’s phone that vibrated in his hands.
“What?”
“He messaged you.” Jimin states, grinning. Hoseok stares at his phone, unmoving. He doesn’t even move when Jimin snatches the phone from his hands.
“He wants to know if you’re serious about teaching the unteachable.” Jimin tells the elder, waiting for his reply.
“Um-“
“Yes you are.” Jimin answers, typing the reply.
“Wait don’t-“ Jimin presses the send button, not allowing Hoseok’s words to stop him.
“You are doing this hyung. There’s no backing out.” Jimin insists, staring at the phone, waiting for a reply.
“Aish.” Hoseok grumbles, watching Jimin with slight irritation. He really should be sleeping soon, but this whole situation is keeping him up. A reply comes through not a minute later. Jimin hums thoughtfully before replying.
“What did he say?” Hoseok almost wishes he hadn’t asked because of the mischievous smile the younger gives him in response.
“Be prepared for a guest tomorrow.” Jimin states, dropping the phone in Hoseok’s lap before running off to the safety of his room.
“That brat.” Hoseok mutters, looking down at the messages. The elder works up the nerve to tell Seokjin good night, not waiting for a reply as he heads to his own room.
Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Chapter Text
"Hyung, are you okay?" Jimin asks, eyeing the older man worriedly. To say Hoseok had been nervous since he woke up this morning would be an understatement. The man had been so worked up about the Seokjin ordeal that he had hit his head on the wall mirror while stretching.
Jimin had forced him to sit down for a while with an ice pack on his head, so for the past 15 minutes, he's been watching the younger practice by himself until the younger decided to take a break.
"I've been fine." Jimin scoffs at his hyung's answer, flicking his forehead and getting a flinch in response.
"I didn't thump you hard so your head hurts more than you let on." Jimin reasons, taking a sip of water from his water bottle.
"It's not serious Minnie."
"I'm not taking you to the hospital so rest for like 15 more minutes before getting up," Jimin suggests, watching Hoseok cautiously. Hoseok rolls his eyes but nods his head gingerly.
"I'll be back. I'm going to go get some lunch since someone didn't make any today." Jimin states, emphasizing 'someone' by narrowing his eyes at Hoseok who pays him no attention.
"You'll pay for mine right? I'll pay you back." Hoseok adds, looking up at the younger.
"Fine. I would've paid anyways, hyung." Jimin agrees, smiling softly at the other. Once Jimin has left, Hoseok decides to play around on his phone since he knows Jimin would probably be angry with him if he caught him practicing. He decides to look through some of the comments on yesterday's video, half expecting there to be hate comments like usual. And there are, none of them phase him except for one.

How is one idiot gonna teach another?
"It's fine to insult me but don't insult Seokjin sunbae like that." Hoseok mumbles to who he thought was no one.
"Who's insulting me?" Hoseok almost has a heart attack for two reasons- The voice scared him and because of who the voice belonged to. Clutching a hand to his chest, his phone in the other, he slowly looks up at where the voice had come from.
"S-Seokjin sunbae-"
"You can just call me Jin." The elder interrupts, smiling.
"Jin...hyung?" Hoseok tests, getting a chuckle from the older man.
"Why so formal? We'll be getting to know each other for the next couple of weeks." Seokjin teases, sitting down next to the man. Hoseok shuffles away from him a little, scared that Jin can hear his heart beating loudly in his chest. Ignoring Jin's slightly confused expression, Hoseok nods and gives him what he hoped wasn't a nervous smile.
"I guess we will. Are you sure about this?"
"Of course I am," Jin assures Hoseok, watching the other man for any signs of uncertainty.
"Will you move out of the way you muscle pig?! Hobi hyung!" Jimin's scream from the doorway interrupts the elders inside of the studio. Currently, Jin's bodyguard is blocking his entrance. Jimin would fight him but one, he has no idea what the man is capable and two, he doesn't want to end up messing the food up.
Both Jin and Hoseok open the door in time to see Jimin and the guard about to throw down, but they don't get to since Hoseok pulls Jimin inside by the hood of his hoodie.
"Don't hit someone if you know you won't win," Hoseok states sternly, letting go of the younger.
"He started it! It's not my fault he's got no brains." Jimin huffs, glaring at the guard that was being scolded by Jin. But as soon as the guard heard Jimin, he turned his attention to the shorter boy.
"What was that, shortie?" He questions, enjoying the angry reaction he got.
"Jungkook, stop," Jin warns, and Hoseok swears that Jin's eyes flashed red for a split second but plays it off as the light and his tiredness playing tricks on him.
"Let's just eat now, Jiminie," Hoseok suggests, taking the food from the younger.
"Yeah, I guess," Jimin mumbles, giving Jungkook one final glance before sitting down against the wall opposite of the mirror.

Chapter Text
Somehow the rest of the day passes without any further arguments. Though on the way out of the studio, after discussing Jin’s schedule, Jimin stomped on Jungkook's foot and ran away. Hoseok would've apologized if he hadn't been laughing and getting dragged away at the same time.
“You sure about this whole ordeal Jin hyung? He might find out.” Jungkook cautions as he watches the duo get into their car.
“If I wasn't sure do you think I'd be here? ‘sides, if he finds out, it'll make my life more fun.” Jin answers, smirking as he heads to the car where his manager is waiting.

Chapter Text
“Oh, it’s the shortie again.”
“Not right now you muscle pig.”
“I’m sorry did you say something? I couldn’t hear you from way down there.”
“Will both of you cut it out?!” Hoseok comes in between the two youngest, glaring at them both. If it hadn’t have been for the bad morning both Hoseok and Jimin had, there wouldn’t be a need for Hoseok to step in.
This morning, their upstairs neighbor’s pipe decided to burst and flood their apartment. That was a wonderful way to be woken up. They had salvaged the camera and all their clothes, the wet and the dry, and went to the nearest hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel had no vacancies, somehow, and they had to turn around but not before being allowed to use the hotel’s laundry mat.
The duo ended up convincing Yoongi to let them crash at his place. But not before Yoongi put his foot in his mouth and got into an argument with Jimin. Hoseok had to drag Jimin away before he actually did some unnecessary damage.
So here they are, Jimin still as frustrated and Hoseok losing his cool. What a series of misfortune.
“Let’s go inside, Minnie. We need to get started.” Hoseok states firmly, leaving no room for the younger to argue. Instead, once Hoseok was inside, Jimin kicked Jungkook as hard as he could in the leg before running inside and locking the door.
“Jimin!” Hoseok scolds, folding his arms.
“Just start practice, hyung.” Jimin rushes, disappearing into the changing room.
Hoseok silently curses the younger as Jungkook starts banging on the glass door.
“Don’t unlock it!” Jimin hollers, poking his head out.
“And why not?” Jin questions before Hoseok gets the chance to.
“Because if you unlock it, he’ll kill me.”
“What did you do, Minnie?”
“I kicked him. In the leg.”
“Least it’s not the balls this time,” Hoseok mutters, remembering the time Jimin kicked a random dude in the nuts. He had it coming though.
“Well, he shouldn’t have grabbed my butt,” Jimin replies, frowning at the memory.
“Let me in!” Jungkook yells, pushing against the door, making it rattle. Hoseok glances at Jimin, who shakes his head, but ignores him because he’s had enough this morning. The last thing he wants now is to explain to the building owner why the door was broken.
As soon as Jungkook attempts to rush past Hoseok, he’s grabbed by his collar.
“Wha-“
“Let it go this time. We’ve had a rough morning and he’s just in a bad mood.” Hoseok states in a gentle tone, staring Jungkook in the eye.
“But he-“
“I said,” Hoseok tightens his grip on the collar of Jungkook’s shirt, pulling him down to his level, "Let it go.” Hoseok hisses quietly.
Jungkook had never been scared of a human in his life… until now. Jungkook nods, scared that Hoseok would somehow kill him with his glare.
“Thank you,” Hoseok states, letting go.
“Jungkook has a new boogeyman,” Jin mumbles, earning a short glare from the mentioned younger, a giggle from Jimin, and a chuckle from Hoseok.
“Ne, Jin hyung?” Jimin questions, stepping out into the studio. Hoseok eyes the younger worriedly, he knows he’s up to something.
“Hm?”
“Can we crash at your place? Ours is flooded and we have nowhere to go ‘sides stinky hotels far from the studio.” Jimin rushes.
“Jimin-“ Hoseok starts to scold the younger before being shocked by Jin’s answer.
“Sure.”

Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Summary:
When they arrive at Jin’s apartment, Jin shows them around the place. After showing them everywhere else, he finally shows where they’ll be sleeping. Jin has two guest bedrooms, one clean and the other…
Chapter Text
“Is it dead!?” Hoseok calls out from the living room, where he had run off. He’d run off at the sight of a spider as big as his hand in one of Jin’s guest bedrooms.
“No! We caught it though!” Jimin yells back, hardly containing his laughter. He’s a few minutes away from laughing at the way his hyung had run out of the room.
“You caught it?!” Hoseok exclaims, bewildered. He’s climbs down from his perch on the couch, getting ready to run for the front door. If Jimin is as evil and mischievous as usual he’d try to hand the spider to the older man.
Jimin and Jin walk into the living room, watching Hoseok with slight amusement because of the running stance he’s in.
In Jin’s hands is the daddy long leg spider, trapped in a clear container with its lid covering the opening. The spider is still, as if it’s sleeping.
“What are you gonna do with it?” Hoseok asks cautiously, looking nervously at the spider when one of its legs moved.
“I’m gonna go release it.” Jin answers, looking down into the container. Hoseok nods, looking between the spider and Jin. He completely ignores Jimin’s quiet snickers.
“While you do that, I’ll be in the kitchen.” Hoseok says quickly, walking (almost running) off to said area.
“Is he always this scared of spiders?” Jin asks, turning to Jimin who’d been watching Hoseok run away.
“He’s always like this with anything scary. Or what he deems as scary.” Jimin answers with a nod, laughing softly. Jin nods, heading to the front door with the spider.
~~~~~~
After deciding that Hoseok would sleep in Jin’s room, which Hoseok had tried to get out of, they have dinner. Afterwards they take their showers, youngest to oldest.
~~~~~~
“You gonna be okay by yourself Hoseokie?” Jin asks teasingly. Hoseok throws a playful glare at the elder, groaning.
“Of course I am. You’re just taking a shower anyways.” Hoseok replies, grinning. Jin hums, heading off to the bathroom, clothes and towel in hand. Hoseok watches the elder disappear before remembering that he’d put his phone and camera in his bookbag, which is under the bed.
Getting up from the bed, Hoseok gets down onto the floor, moving the hanging bedsheets out of the way. He reaches under, immediately finding his bag… and something else. Frowning, Hoseok pulls out his bag first before reaching back under to pull out the rough textured item he’d found.
He pulls out a leather-bound book, pretty worn and old from the looks of it. Hoseok squints at the cursive font, trying to understand what the title of it is.
“Liber... ab… inferno?” Hoseok slowly reads as best as he can. He looks at it curiously but shoves it back under the bed. He doesn’t want to make Jin angry for going through his things. He climbs back onto the bed, bookbag in hand.
He pulls out his phone and plugs it up to its charger. Taking his camera out, he films a quick vlog about what’s going on. After filming, he makes a note to blur out the background. He doesn’t want anyone to see Jin’s bedroom. He doesn’t think the elder would appreciate it.
He gets himself comfortable under the blankets just as Jin’s coming back into the room.

Chapter Text
When Jin wakes up, he notices two things.
1- Hoseok is gone.
2- There’s a delicious aroma coming from somewhere in the apartment.
Curious, Jin wastes no time in getting out of bed and making his way into the kitchen. Leaning up against the counter, Jimin’s already eating from the plate in his hands. There’s another plate on the counter next to him.
“Morning.” Jin greets, taking the other plate for himself. He moves to sit in one of the bar stools, setting his plate down on the island first.
“Morning hyung.” Jimin greets back after swallowing. He offers the elder a smile before his attention is back on the eggs Hoseok had kindly cooked before he left.
“Where’s Hoseok?” Jin questions, looking back down the hallway. He hasn’t seen the younger man since last night and didn’t even notice he’d left so early. Which is strange since Jin is usually a light sleeper.
“He left to go to the studio. He gives lessons there every Monday and Thursday, private lessons too if people can afford it and need it.” Jimin explains, finishing off the last of his eggs and toast. He moves to the sink and washes his dish in the lukewarm dishwater Hoseok left behind from his own cleaning.
Seokjin just hums a reply, focused on the simple breakfast in front of him. He watches Jimin scurry off down the hall, probably heading back to his temporary room. Seokjin finishes eating quickly knowing he has to be at the agency for a meeting he’s known was coming for the past three days. But before he leaves the kitchen, he leaves a raw steak out near the window, like he usually does.
About 20 minutes later, Jin joins Jimin in the living room. The younger is wearing the typical uniform that convenience store clerks wear. Seokjin himself is wearing a white button down with a black suit jacket, matching slacks and (soon to be put on) dress shoes.
“Going to work as well?” Jin asks out of verification.
“Mm. My friend’s supposed to come pick me up. Hopefully he hasn’t gotten lost. Again.” Jimin mutters that last part, staring down at his phone.
“Want me to come pick you up afterwards?” Jin offers, checking his phone for the time. 9:13 AM. Meeting’s not till 9:35. Which means Namjoon won’t be here for another 7 minutes.
“No thanks hyung. Hobi hyung picks me up so we can practice at the studio.” Jimin declines, smiling at the elder. Jin nods and hums in response before his curiosity becomes peaked about the boys’ usual schedule.
“You two are always at that studio when you have free time?” Jin questions and hums when the younger nods.
“For the past 4 years we’ve always stuck to this routine. It’s only been 3 years since we got our studio.” Jimin states. He opens his mouth to add something but a text message coming through interrupts him. The younger looks down at his phone, sighing at seeing that it’s Taehyung saying he’s outside.
“I’ll see you later hyung.” Jimin says, waving goodbye before rushing to the door. The elder waits until he hears the door close before he heads back to the kitchen for a water bottle. He notices the raw steak is gone and his mouth twitches into a small smile.

Chapter Text
After his last student left, Hoseok sits on the floor, phone in hand. He starts out scrolling through his social media. It’s not long before the book he found under Jin’s bed comes to mind. He pushes the thoughts away for as long as he can before his curiosity eats away his resolve. He searches up the name of the book using Google. A bunch of words he doesn’t understand appear on the screen, tons of links going to different places. After having Google attempt to translate the page (*snorts*), Hoseok can finally make out some of the words.
“The Devil’s spellbook?” He mumbles reading some of the links. He looks at images and comes upon a picture of a book that looks exactly like Jin’s book so he clicks on the image. The description says that it’s a book that high-level demons get when they enter the human world.
Hoseok snorts thinking that someone made this up for fun but he couldn’t fight the little voice in the back of his head saying that it’s true. He clicks on the image’s link and it takes him to a website that’s all in Latin. Hoseok bookmarks the page before closing the tab. He puts his phone down on the floor, moving over to the speaker. He didn’t want to think about his hyung being a demon. Not when he was so nice to him and others, but Hoseok’s not taking his chances.
~~~
The first time Jin noticed Hoseok’s odd behavior is when the human wouldn’t look him in the face when he and Jimin got home. The second time is when Hoseok put a pillow between them when they went to bed. Now he’s woken up a second time to the smell of breakfast but the younger men aren’t in the apartment.
Jin frowns down at the note the younger had left him saying he and Jimin had gone to the gym.
“If you’re avoiding me then just say so.” Jin mumbles, rolling his eyes as he throws the note away.
“Who’s avoiding you hyung?” Jin jumps at Jungkook’s sudden appearance behind him.
“Are you trying to kill me?!” Jin exclaims, glaring at the younger demon. Jungkook rolls his eyes with a slight smirk on his face.
“It’s been years now, you should be used to me appearing.”
“Well I’m not.” Jin growls, flecks of red appearing in his brown eyes.
“Well someone’s cranky. This have something to do with Hoseok?” Jungkook teases, eyeing the untouched plate of toast and eggs.
“He’s been avoiding me since last night and I don’t know why.” Jin states, noticing the younger’s gaze. Jin grabs the plate and passes it to him, surprisingly he’s lost his appetite for the moment. Jungkook gives him a grateful smile before devouring the food.
“Maybe he’s just gotten shy because he’s finally realized his situation.” Jungkook reasons, wiping his mouth.
“I doubt that but let’s go with that for right now. And you’re washing that plate since you ate the food.” Jin states, walking out of the kitchen leaving a Jungshook behind.
Notes:
Also, if I don't update anything else- It's because my mind is in bad shape but don't be too worried. I call them mood swings cuz they kind of are.
Chapter 12: Chapter 12
Chapter Text
“Why are you avoiding Jin hyung?” Jimin suddenly asks while I’m drinking from my water bottle. The younger is sitting on the weight bench while I’m sitting on the floor next to him. I just got off of the treadmill.
“I’m not avoiding him.” I deny, looking down at my phone. Jimin scoffs, nudging me in the arm.
“You’re always going to be a horrible liar hyung.” Jimin points out while joining me on the floor. I roll my eyes, paying him no mind.
“Something happen between the two of you?” Jimin questions curiously, looking down at my phone now.
“No.”
“Liar.” Jimin states as he snatches my phone from my hand.
“Yah!” I exclaim but don’t attempt to get it back. There’s nothing for him to see.
I watch him exit Instagram, clicking on the ‘history’ shortcut on my home screen. I should’ve gotten rid of that. I reach for my phone but Jimin scoots away. I sigh and just give up.
“The Devil’s spellbook? You’re into witchcraft hyung?” Jimin asks incredulously.
“No. Jin hyung is apparently.”
“What?”
“I found this book under hyung’s bed the first night we stayed there. It was accident. I was searching for my bag and found this book. It’s some book high-level demons get when they come to Earth apparently.” I explain taking my phone back. Jimin’s eyes widen unbelievably wide, the shock very evident on his face.
“Oh man holy crap!” Jimin exclaims, drawing a few stares from people around us. Jimin promptly flips them off before turning his attention back to me.
“I don’t know if this is cool or not but I’m excited at the thought of hyung being a demon. That would explain his good looks and charm.” Jimin points out, a small smirk on his face.
“Regardless of whether it’s cool or not, you cannot tell hyung we know. Understand?”
“Understood hyung,” Jimin answers with a salute,” Now let’s go eat. I’m hungry.” Jimin whines, standing up. I roll my eyes but follow him out of the gym after we gather our stuff.
A dark, wolf-shaped shadow follows the boys out of the gym. The shadow only goes as far as the car before it bolts down the street, back to Jin’s apartment. The shadow had heard their whole conversation and now had to report back to its master.
When the shadow enters the apartment, it finds its master sitting on the couch watching TV. It’s not long before the demon notices the wolf creature near him.
“What’s wrong Jjangu?”
“I just wanna see how this plays out. This is probably the most fun I’m gonna have in years.” Jin answers with a laugh, patting Jjangu’s head before withdrawing his hand.
“Well who wouldn’t be jealous of the amazing Hobi?” Jimin adds, nudging Hoseok’s arm.
“I wouldn’t be.” A voice pipes in from behind them, scaring the life out of Hoseok and Jimin. The pair whirl around and glare at Jungkook who’d decided to make his presence known in the worst way.
“Was that necessary you bastard?” Jimin curses, being the only one of the two that could speak at the moment. Hoseok is too busy trying not to pass out. For a split second the man could’ve sworn he’d seen Jungkook’s eyes turn from cobalt blue to brown. Hoseok blinks a few times before shaking his head as discreetly as he can.
“Something wrong hyung?” Jimin questions, glancing between Hoseok and Jungkook.
“Y-Yeah I’m fine now.” Hoseok mumbles, heading up the stairs.
Chapter Text
The next morning two different calls came to Hoseok and Jimin. One from their landlord, the other from Yoongi. Seokjin had already left that morning for an emergency meeting so it was just the two of them there eating breakfast.
Their landlord called Hoseok moments before Yoongi called Jimin. Both boys were happy to hear that they could finally go back to their apartment where they had their own room. They were a little sad though to leave Jin alone though.
Yoongi’s call was to obviously beg for Jimin to talk to him. After a little coaxing from Hoseok, who was making sure they had all their stuff together, Jimin finally decided to meet Yoongi at the Starbucks half a block away.
“Go, I'll be fine. I'll get Taehyung to help.” Hoseok assures a hesitant Jimin, pushing him out the door. Jimin gives his hyung one last glance before walking down the stairs and down the sidewalk. Hoseok watches him go before texting Taehyung to come pick him up. The younger replies immediately, saying he's on his way.
“Maybe I should text Jin and tell him.” Hoseok mumbles, staring down at his phone.
“You are an interesting human.”
Hoseok screeches at the sudden voice in his head, looking around wildly for the source afterwards. He sees a wolfish creature that's too big to be a dog or wolf. Half of its fur is obsidian black and the other half is pure white. Glowing red eyes stare right back at Hoseok making the man look away seconds later.
“I knew you were a frightful human but not this frightful. I won't do you any harm. Unless Master says to. Or your time's up.” The creature growls. Hoseok shivers, praying what it said was true.
“I'm not just some creature. My name is Jjangu. Jin is my master.” Jjangu growls again, coming closer to Hoseok. Hoseok shrieks and puts more distance between the two of them.
“W-What are you?” Hoseok stutters, watching Jjangu with caution. He didn’t want to be die like this, not by a dog.
“I’m a hellhound. Though a unique one.” Jjangu answers, baring his teeth as if he’s smiling.
“H-h-h-hellhound? As in one of the creatures that kill people who form contracts with the devil or his henchmen and collect their souls!?” Hoseok exclaims hysterically, on the verge of fainting.
“Yes.”
“Holy fucking shit!” Hoseok exclaims, dropping to his knees.
“I’m dying.” Hoseok mutters before fainting. Jjangu chuckles before disappearing but not before telling Taehyung to come a little later. The younger unknowingly agreeing.
“Hoseok-ssi is an interesting human. He could not only hear me but he could see me. He must be…”
~~
“Ah, how could he bail on me at a time like this?” Jin mumbles staring down at his phone.
“Who? Jaehwan hyung?” Jungkook questions entering the car. They’re currently on their way to Jin’s place.
“Yeah. I need to talk to him about something.” Jin answers with a nod, still looking down at his phone.
He gets a text from both Hoseok and Jimin, Hoseok’s saying that the two of them have gone back to their apartment and Jimin’s asking if Jin could come pick him up from some bar called Platinum. Jin frowns at Jimin’s message, wondering what could be wrong with the younger if he wasn’t with Hoseok and couldn’t ask any of his other friends. Nonetheless, Jin tells him he will, getting a thank you in response.
“What’s wrong hyung?”
“I don’t know yet.” Jin mumbles as he instructs the driver to take him to the bar. A bar in broad daylight? What kind of people go there? Jin could only imagine though until he gets there.
~~
“Yoongi is a stubborn bastard!” Jimin exclaims, bouncing around inside of the car. Jin stifles his laughter at the drunk human who’s been complaining about his boyfriend since he got in the car. The elder is surprised that Jungkook hasn’t attempted to put Jimin to sleep yet.
“He’ll never say sorry, I should just break up with him. No I can’t do that he needs me no matter how stubborn he is.” Jimin babbles, leaning his head against the car window.
“I think you should take a nap Jiminie.” Jin suggests, smiling at the boy.
”No! Not until I can see Hobi hyung!”
“Hobi will be very upset if you don’t take a nap before you meet him.” Jin reasons, his voice taking a serious tone.
“Mmm, okay.” Jimin mumbles and is out like a light in seconds. Jin chuckles, running a hand through the younger’s blonde hair.
“He reeks of sadness and booze.” Jungkook complains, holding his nose. Jin just rolls his eyes and ignores that younger, preferring to pay attention to the sleeping human next to him.
Chapter Text
Upon getting to Hoseok and Jimin’s apartment, the trio didn’t expect to meet a disgruntled Hoseok, like the man had just woken up.
“Hobi hyung!” Jimin exclaims, launching himself at the elder causing the both of them to fall.
“Ugh. Jiminie. Stop drinking in broad daylight.” Hoseok groans, sitting up carefully with the younger on his lap.
“I can’t help it. I just needed something for my nerves.” Jimin says before bursting into a fit of giggles. Even if the man wasn’t as drunk anymore, he’s still a little under the influence.
“You smell like Taehyung’s cologne.” Jimin points out as he buries his face into Hoseok’s chest.
“I fell asleep on the ride here so he carried me inside.” Hoseok explains, standing up as carefully as he can without dropping the younger or falling. The younger gleefully wraps his arms around Hoseok’s neck, his legs tightly wrap around the elder’s waist.
Hoseok almost shudders at remembering the events before Taehyung picked him up. He doesn’t want to tell anyone though. Well, maybe Jimin later on.
“Taehyung?” Jin and Jungkook mumble, glancing at each other. Hoseok hums and leads them to the living room where mentioned man is sleeping on the couch.
“Taehyung!” Jimin exclaims, unlatching himself from Hoseok and running and jumping on Taehyung. The man groans, sitting up with the elder on his lap.
“Mochi, are you trying to kill me?” Taehyung whines, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Jimin giggles at the younger before flopping onto the couch, his feet in Taehyung’s lap.
“So what did Yoongi do this time?” Hoseok finally asks, Jimin starts frowning at the very mention of the man’s name.
“Being stubborn as usual. We got into another argument.”
“Then shouldn’t you just break up with him?” Jungkook chimes, rubbing one of his ears.
“Then shouldn’t you just mind your own goddamn business ya bitch?” Jimin snaps, glaring at Jungkook. Hoseok sighs and shakes his head. Taehyung snickers, covering his mouth with his hand. There’s a small smile on Jin’s face as well.
“I’m just saying.”
“And I’m just sick of your shit, you giant.”
“Alright enough you two. Jiminie, let’s go take a nap.” Hoseok chimes in, pulling Jimin off the couch and to his room.
~~~
“Thank you Jin hyung, for taking care of Jimin.” Hoseok says quietly as he rejoins the others in the living room. And it’s now that Jin is finally focusing on the human that he can smell the faint scent of fear, death, and dirt. Something he’d smelled not too long ago.
“Hoseok can I ask you something in private?” Jin asks, his voice leaving no room for a ‘no’.
“Um su-“
Hoseok’s phone rings from his room, making a frown appear on the man’s face.
“I’ll be right back. Tae, you should probably head home now.” Hoseok states before running down the hall. Taehyung says goodbye to Jin and Jungkook before leaving, making sure to be quiet.
“You smelled it too hyung?” Jungkook asks in a hushed voice, as if breaking the silence would disturb the two in their rooms. Jin nods, furrowing his eyebrows in concentration.
~~
“Ah yes, I got it… Bye.” Hoseok says cheerily as he hangs up. It was another private client that he’d have to meet after tomorrow’s class. Crap, he should really start paying more attention to Jin… to teaching Jin.
Hoseok chuckles and then sighs, remembering there was something the elder wanted to talk to him about.
“Hobi hyung! Water please!” Jimin calls out, sounding like he’s on the verge of throwing up.
~~
“Hyung, that’s so cool.”
“It is not. It could’ve taken my soul.” Hoseok practically screeches as he and Jimin eat ice cream while sitting on the couch. Hoseok had sent Jin and Jungkook home once he’d helped Jimin into the bathroom. He assured Jin that they’ll talk tomorrow and sent the elder on his way.
Now they both sat stretched out on the couch, both resting their backs against opposite arms of the chair so they’re facing each other.
“But it didn’t besides, it belongs to Jin hyung and it knew you.” Jimin reason, his spoon dug into his tub of ice cream.
“It obviously knows you too since it knows me.” Hoseok points out, his spoon hanging from his mouth as he searches for his phone.
“Ooh! Do you think seeing Jjangu has to do with that ability of yours?”
“I could’ve sworn we weren’t going to talk about that ever again.”
“But hyung, what if this is the cause of that?”
“Then I’ll deal with it when it becomes an actual problem.” Hoseok states firmly, unaware of the presence behind him.
“What is this ability of yours Hoseok-ssi?”
Hoseok and Jimin scream as the sudden intrusion of their minds. Hoseok practically throws himself into Jimin’s lap, but turns to face the opposite end of the couch. The two glance at each other before glancing back to the end of the couch, where Jjangu sat. Hoseok grasps Jimin’s hands, the younger gripping his hands just as hard, making their hands turn a shade of red.
“That’s Jjangu?!” Jimin exclaims, wide-eyed with wonder, excitement, and fear.
“That’s my name.” Jjangu bares his teeth, as if smiling.
“Oh wow that’s creepy… but kind of cute.” Jimin comments, making Hoseok look at him like he’s insane.
“Thank you but I prefer to be called handsome.”
“Like your owner.” Hoseok and Jimin point out simultaneously.
“Yes, like my master. So Hoseok-ssi, your ability?”
“You don’t need to know.” Hoseok states, refusing to talk about his past.
“Does it involve something personal… like something involving your parents?”
Hoseok glares at Jjangu, becoming red in the face whereas Jimin pales looking in between the hellhound and his hyung.
“I said it’s none of your business!” Hoseok exclaims, a light bulb blows simultaneously, making the room dark with hardly any light.
“It seems I’ve overstepped my boundaries. I will leave now.”
And with that Jjangu disappears into a black cloud, leaving Hoseok to fume and Jimin terrified yet concerned.
“I think you should go take a shower hyung.” Jimin says, shaking his hand loose from Hoseok’s. The younger had been losing feeling in his hand.
“Yeah… I think I will.” Hoseok mumbles, standing up from the couch and heading towards the bathroom. Jimin sighs as he begins searching their apartment for their spare light bulbs.

Chapter 16: Chapter 16
Chapter Text
The next morning, Hoseok and Jimin are at the studio. Hoseok teaching his class while Jimin watches and films it, the younger making commentary here and there. Neither of them have brought up Jjangu’s visit since last night.
~~
-Taking a break-
~~
“Hoseok oppa, do you think Jin oppa will stop by?”
Hoseok hums at one of his younger students’ – So-yi’s – question.
“It’s not likely.” Hoseok answers with a shrug of his shoulders. Jimin hums as well before smiling at the young girl.
“I could ask him to stop by.” He offers jokingly, making So-yi blush. Hoseok smacks Jimin’s arm, making the younger yell in pain, which then causes the entire room to fill with laughter.
~~
-End of class-
~~
“Jiminie, the usual please.” Hoseok states, holding out money for Jimin to take. Jimin rolls his eyes but takes the money nonetheless.
“Alright. Be back soon.” Jimin says, patting Hoseok on the shoulder before hurrying out the door. Hoseok shakes his head at the younger’s antics before turning his attention to his phone. It’s not long before Hoseok has buried himself in searching the web, in fact he’s so focused on his phone he didn’t hear someone enter the studio.
“Hoseok-ah.” A deep raspy voice whispers into the man’s ear, Hoseok lets out a high-pitched scream as he drops his phone into his lap.
“Jin-soo hyung.” Hoseok whines, glaring at the dark-haired male. Jin-soo’s grinning at Hoseok, dark brown eyes shining with amusement.
“It’s not my fault you weren’t paying attention.” Jin-soo teases, patting Hoseok on the shoulder.
“What’d you want to talk about hyung?” Hoseok asks, picking his phone up and checking for cracks. When he finds none, he puts his phone in his shorts’ pocket. Jin-soo hums, sitting down so he’s in front of Hoseok, face to face.
“I might’ve just said that so I could see you.” Jin-soo replies with a grin. Hoseok rolls his eyes, slapping the other man’s shoulder.
“You sound so cheesy.” Hoseok laughs, leaning back against the mirror.
“Well I am a cheesy man.” Jin-soo says, staring at Hoseok with a certain gleam that went unnoticed.
“Hey Hobi-”
“Hobi hyung! Look who I brought back!” Jimin exclaims happily as he pushes the door open with his foot since his hands are full of food, Jin and Jungkook coming behind him. Jin-soo sighs in annoyance from being cutoff. ‘This shorty always has great timing, doesn’t he?’
“Oh! Jin-soo hyung, Hobi hyung didn’t mention that you were coming by.” Jimin says, setting the food down next to Hoseok.
“I was supposed to talk to him about something but I have to go now. See you next week Hobi.” Jin-soo mumbles, standing up and brushing his dress pants off. His eyes meet with Jin’s and he’s surprised by the intense glare the other man is giving him. Jin-soo smirks, waving at Jin as the man comes closer.
“See you next week, I guess.” Hoseok mumbles, watching Jin-soo leave. Sometimes he wonders what goes on inside that man’s head and sometimes he finds that he doesn’t wanna know.
“A client of yours, Hobi?” Jin asks, taking Jin-soo’s place in front of Hoseok. Hoseok nods as he busies himself with his takeout. He doesn’t want to look at Jin because Jin reminds him of Jjangu and the conversation from last night. After minutes of sitting in silence, the only other sound is Hoseok and Jimin’s chewing – occasionally Jungkook as well – Jin finally sighs.
“Let’s clear the air shall we?” Jin suggests, making Hoseok pause, his mouth full and cheeks chipmunk-like. Hoseok slowly nods as he swallows his food.
“A certain canine demon tells me he made you angry last night. He’s currently on a strict diet of dog food.” Jin states, smiling. Jimin snorts, just imagining how bad that must taste to the demon.
“If it seems like I was avoiding you hyung… It’s because I was but with reason! How would you feel if you find out your hyung is a demon? I didn’t have bad intentions I just wanted to let the information sink in.” Hoseok rambles, going red in the face from either embarrassment or lack of oxygen…or maybe both. No one can really tell.
“Calm down Hoseok. It’s not like I’m mad. I expected you to avoid me anyways. So speaking of demons, that Jin-soo fellow… You do know what an incubus is right?” Jin asks, scooting a little closer to Hoseok so their knees are touching. Hoseok nods, a blush blossoming on his face.
“Are you saying Jin-soo hyung is an incubus?” Hoseok inquires, wide-eyed with fear and wonder. Jin nods, leaning back onto his hands. Hoseok groans, covering his face with his hands.
“That explains that smell after we’ve done a lesson.” Hoseok mumbles to himself, remembering the smell that would make his mind hazy, like he was floating.
“Has he-”
“No, he hasn’t seduced me.” Hoseok quickly states, cutting Jin off.
“Just now, he might’ve been trying to confess to me.” He mumbles, staring down at the floor. Hoseok sighs, knocking his head back against the mirror.
“I’m changing the subject because this is frustrating. Let’s practice since you’re here hyung.” Hoseok says, standing up and stretching.
“Okay. Jungkook you join too.”
~~
“You sure you’re not a demon Hoseok?!” Jin asks exasperatedly, lying flat on the floor with his limbs splayed out. Hoseok and Jungkook roll their eyes at the man, Hoseok rolling a water bottle over to him.
“You’ll get used to it. Hyung always starts out like this.” Jimin comments, messing around with the footage he just took. He notices something in a part where he focused on Hoseok. Something he hasn’t seen in 2 years.
“Hobi hyung, come look at this. Hurry.” Jimin urges, trying to hide the panic in his voice. Hoseok frowns at the younger but makes his way next to him nonetheless. Jimin shows him the footage as well and Hoseok pales, noticeably.
“Shit.” Hoseok curses, turning to look at his reflection in the mirror.
“What’s wrong Hobi?” Jin asks, sitting up with a grunt.
“Nothing.” Hoseok quickly answers, closing his eyes. This has to be because of last night. If he doesn’t rest soon, he’ll be in trouble.
“Time to call it a day. I’ll see you tomorrow hyung and Jungkook.” Hoseok says quickly, standing up and rushing out of the door. Jimin doesn’t follow him immediately, instead waiting for Jin and Jungkook to leave first so he can lock up the studio.
“You know if you two ever need help you can come to me, right?” Jin asks as he watches Jimin lock the door. Jimin turns to the elder and nods with a sad smile.
“There’s no way Hoseok would let either of us help him with what’s going on inside his body.” Jimin mumbles walking away.
Notes:
What do you think is going on with Hoseok?
Chapter 17: Chapter 17
Chapter Text
When Hoseok and Jimin get home, Hoseok wastes no time in running to the shower, leaving Jimin behind at the door. Jimin sighs as he closes and locks the door behind him.
The younger heads to the living room, ordering pizza at the same time. 10 minutes later, after Jimin’s off the phone and comfortable on the couch, a scream sounds throughout the apartment, obviously coming from Hoseok. Jimin sighs, shoving himself up off of the couch.
“Hyung if there’s a spider, you should scream ‘spider’ not – Holy shit you have a tail!” Jimin exclaims, the words leaving his mouth before he’s really processed the scene before him. Frozen in the bathroom doorway, Jimin watches his hyung who’d somehow fallen down to the floor with his towel covering his lap. His back is the only thing Jimin can see but he can imagine the look of panic on the elder’s face.
“I’ll go get you some clothes,” Jimin says quietly as he walks away.
~~
“Your eyes look so cool, hyung,” Jimin mumbles in awe, staring at the other man’s face. He’s been doing that since he’d gotten a clothed Hoseok to sit in the living room with him. He couldn’t help himself, the elder’s eyes had turned a beautiful amber and the man seemed to give off a heavenly aura. His long tail – which resembles Hellboy’s, the only difference being the tip of it is on fire – and pointed teeth told a different story, however.
“Shut up,” Hoseok says softly but it comes out like a low growl.
“I can’t take you seriously. You look like the child of an angel and Hellboy. This is like that time.” Jimin says, jumping up at the sound of knocking.
“If you’re not back to normal by tomorrow morning, we’re calling Jin hyung. No excuses.” Jimin states with finality, almost running to the front door afterwards. Hoseok sighs, flopping down onto his side.
~~
You may not be able to tell but I got sidetracked with this whole story XD

Chapter Text
Should Hoseok be worried or happy? Should he be happy that the tail is gone? Or should he be worried that he now has wings, a halo, and blond hair? He woke up like this and now he doesn’t know whether to scream or be excited.
“Hobi hyung, you okay i- Oh my god. I knew you were an angel and a ball of sunshine but holy shit.” Jimin babbles as he opens Hoseok’s bedroom door. Hoseok throws a pillow at him, chuckling as it hits the younger in the face.
“I thought angels were supposed to be nice!” Jimin exclaims jokingly, smirking as Hoseok rolls his eyes.
“Apparently it’s a myth. Call Jin hyung. I don’t know how to hide my wings.” Hoseok states, glancing at the pure white wings just in his peripheral view. They really are amazing, glowing in the sunlight filtering into the room.
“Stop that, you’re distracting me.” Jimin comments, glancing up from his phone. Hoseok smiles, unconsciously unfolding his wings. He only notices that he’s spread them to their full span when his left wing hits the wall. Panicking, Hoseok recoils his wings, folding them back.
“How am I distracting you? I haven’t done anything.” Hoseok questions, standing up from the bed.
“Your aura is even brighter and your wings are distracting me. Go eat or something.” Jimin states with a huff, pushing Hoseok out of the room. Hoseok laughs as he walks into the kitchen.
~~
“Hyung, I don’t like the vibe I’m getting from the apartment,” Jungkook mumbles, standing at the bottom of the apartment stairs. He and Jin had just arrived and already he could feel a presence way too powerful for him to handle.
Jin snorts, coming to stand behind the younger. The elder wouldn’t admit it but he felt threatened by the presence as well. If he didn’t know who and where it was coming from, the demon would’ve tucked his tail and ran by now.
“We can’t leave Jimin and Hobi hanging. They need my help and I told you, you didn’t have to come.” Jin states, nudging the other demon up onto the first step. Jungkook rolls his eyes, reluctantly walking up the stairs.
“But I have to protect you hyung. I vowed that I would after that time.”
~~
“Should we explain to hyung the thing first or just have him fix this first?” Jimin asks, gesturing to Hoseok’s outstretched wings as the elder runs a hand over the feathers.
“He's going to find out one way or another so let’s just go ahead and tell him.” Hoseok mumbles, eyes fixated on his wings. He couldn’t resist the urge anymore, he’s been fighting the urge to touch them since he caught a glimpse of them in his room mirror.
“I’m going to pluck your feathers if you don’t stop looking at them.” Jimin blurts out, glaring at Hoseok. He couldn’t help but get annoyed at his hyung’s behavior. He can understand why the man’s attention has been drawn away from reality but now it’s just too much for the younger.
Hoseok’s eyes turn to Jimin, finally realizing the younger’s irritated aura. Hoseok’s wings unconsciously come forward to shield Hoseok, covering him up from Jimin’s eyes in the process.
“I’m sorry if I scared or hurt your feelings, hyung. I didn’t mean to.” Jimin apologizes, casting his gaze down to the floor. Hoseok manages to fold his wings and smile at Jimin before there’s a knock on their door. Jimin smiles back at his hyung before walking and opening the door.
“Hey, Jin hyung- Oh you brought Satan’s son.” Jimin comments, glaring at Jungkook who glares right back.
“Oh, you have no clue.” Jin chuckles, stepping inside the apartment.
“You keep dissing me, shorty, and you’re going to feel my wrath.” Jungkook hisses, bumping Jimin on his way inside of the apartment.
“Yeah right, Cerberus. You might as well be like Jjangu, you mutt,” Jimin quips, shoving Jungkook as he runs into the living room. Jimin takes shelter behind one of Hoseok’s wings, sitting beside the elder on the couch.
“You two are like brats,” Jin comments as Jungkook comes stumbling into the room. Jungkook glares at Jimin as best as he can as the human hides behind the apparent angel’s wing. Hoseok looks at the three others in the room before sighing.
“So do you want the story behind the ability your companion is so invested in or do you want to help me hide these first?” Hoseok asks Jin, looking at the older demon as the man stares at his wings.
“Wings first and then storytime,” Jin replies with hesitation, walking up to Hoseok. He reaches a hand out to touch a wing only to be stopped by the sudden feeling of pain running up his arm. He pulls his hand back and backs away, holding his hand to his chest. Everyone’s expressions mirror each other’s, all of them shocked and confused by what just happened.
“That’s new… I’ll just instruct you on how to do it,” Jin says slowly, still recovering from his shock. Hoseok nods, gulping thickly.
“Focus on the task at hand… imagine your wings disappearing, tucking them away somewhere safely…”
Hoseok does as Jin instructs, concentrating very hard. Almost effortlessly, the wings shrink away, towards his back. Once the wings have completely disappeared from view, Hoseok hops up runs to the bathroom to look in the mirror. He lifts his shirt up, his back turned to the mirror, and he sees something completely new to him. A tattoo of folded wings stretching from shoulder blade to shoulder blade across his back.
~~
Everyone’s situated in the living room. Hoseok and Jimin on the couch, Jin and Jungkook on the floor. Each of them with mugs of coffee in their laps. Everyone’s eyes are on Hoseok as the man sits with his eyes closed, head leaned back against the back of the couch.
“Where do I start? 2 years ago or my childhood?... 2 years ago it is.” Hoseok decides, sitting up straight.
“The shortened version or the long version hyung?” Jimin asks, readjusting himself so he’s leaning against the arm of the couch and his legs rest in Hoseok’s lap. Hoseok chuckles, patting Jimin’s thigh.
“I’d prefer the shortened version.”
“You’re stalling.” Jungkook points out, staring blankly at the human. Hoseok smiles at Jungkook before the younger is lifted into the air.
“Watch it.” ‘Hoseok’ hisses before dropping the younger demon back down. Hoseok ignores the bewildered looks on everyone else’s faces. The man doesn’t even seem to know what he himself had done.
“What the hell has gotten into Hoseok?”
Notes:
The next chapter will definitely explain Hoseok's ability and his other side.
Chapter 19: Chapter 19
Chapter Text
“Thank you for buying me ice cream hyung.”
Jimin and Hoseok walk along the sidewalk each holding an ice cream cone of their own. They’re heading back to their shared apartment after a few hours at their studio. It has been almost a year since Hoseok and Jimin had gotten that studio and the elder still couldn’t believe they’d managed to rent it. Even now Hoseok still feels a bubble of pride well up inside of him every time he calls it theirs.
“It’s no problem, Minnie, think of it as a reward for all your hard work,” Hoseok says, patting the younger boy on the back. Jimin beams at the elder’s praise.
“You’ve worked just as hard, hyung.”
“Hey! You two!” A deep raspy voice, obviously belonging to a man, calls out to the guys from an alleyway they’re passing. Jimin stops but Hoseok keeps going. He’s learned to never listen to strangers waiting for you in alleyways or dark places.
“Hyung.” Jimin pulls on the sleeve of Hoseok’s jacket, forcing the man to finally stop walking.
“No, Jimin. Let’s go.” Hoseok demands, hoping the younger would listen to him even if that means making the younger angry. Jimin frowns, shaking his head and moving back until he’s standing in front of the alleyway.
“What do you want?”
“I just want to talk to you guys. I’m lonely and cold and it’s been an exhausting day for me.” The voice says, the face of a man probably in his 30s’ with a rugged beard finally coming into view. The man is apparently sitting on the ground so he has to look up at Hoseok and Jimin.
Hoseok gives the man a skeptical look before looking at Jimin expectantly. The man gives off this vibe that says you shouldn’t stick around very long and the way the man’s eyes are looking over him is making Hoseok uncomfortable.
“Are you homeless?” Jimin asks, stepping closer to Hoseok. Hoseok wonders what the younger is planning to do, there’s no way the man was coming home with them.
“No. I was just waiting for Hoseok to come by.” The man says, his eyes turning red. He smiles at the two boys as he stands up to his full height. Hoseok and Jimin’s eyes widen when the man towers over the both of them, almost as tall as the street light a few feet away.
Hoseok grabs Jimin’s arm and turns around to run only to stop in his tracks. There’s another man, only a few inches taller than Hoseok but that’s not what concerns the duo. The red leathery wings stretching out 6 feet each and the sharp canines that become visible when the man grins are the most concerning right now.
“Where do you two think you’re going? We just want to have a talk with Hoseok here.” The second man says, well hisses really. From what Hoseok can see, the man has a forked black tongue, like a snake.
“I-I don’t have any business with you,” Hoseok states, guarding Jimin from the view of the winged man. The man hums, smirking at the scared expressions on the humans’ faces. Though, there’s something defiant in Hoseok’s eyes.
The winged man places a hand on Hoseok’s shoulder, gripping it tightly. Almost immediately after, a pair of black leathery wings sprout from Hoseok’s back and the once human’s eyes turn completely pitch black. Hoseok’s canines grow and become visible to the now horrified winged man when Hoseok smirks at him.
“That’s impressive.”
“You know what else is impressive?” Hoseok says, only it doesn’t sound like the usual Hoseok. His voice is deep and demonic sounding, effectively scaring the shit out of Jimin. The human finds himself putting space in-between him and his “friend”.
Hoseok lifts up a hand, a ball of black fire accumulating in his palm. Wing man’s eyes widen in surprise and he attempts to shield himself but he’s too late as he catches on fire, burning to a crisp.
“Holy shit!” The demon in the alley exclaims as he watches his partner’s body turn to ash. Hoseok turns towards the alley, the wings disappearing and his eyes changing from totally black to just his pupils being an amber color.
“A golem type demon? You’re way out of your league trying to capture me.” Hoseok says, his voice no longer demonic but instead holding a dangerous edge. Hoseok holds up his hand in the direction of the cowering demon, and clenches it into a fist. The demon crumbles into dust but not before letting out a shriek.
“Fools,” Hoseok mumbles before turning to Jimin who’s shaking in fear. Hoseok’s stands there for a while, watching the human shake. Then he smiles. And suddenly… Jimin isn’t afraid of his friend anymore. Hoseok walks up to Jimin so their chests are almost touching. The elder’s eyes turn back to their shade of brown before he falls forward into Jimin. Jimin catches him and the younger looks down at his hyung’s relaxed expression.
“How the hell can you just faint like this?!”
~~
“You are a badass,” Jungkook states, looking Hoseok in the eye. His hyungs snort, Hoseok and Jimin shaking their heads. Jin’s silent for a while before nodding his head, as if confirming something mentally.
“It sounds like you’re some kind of shapeshifter and angel hybrid, Hobi. I’ve never heard of anyone like this before. Have you, Jungkookie?” Jin turns to Jungkook when he asks the question, the younger shaking his head in response.
“I haven’t either but we can make a name for Hobi,” Jungkook suggests with a smirk. Jin narrows his eyes, already having an idea of what the younger is thinking about but he asks anyways.
“And what would that name be?”
“BAMF.”
Hoseok and Jin groan but Jimin just looks confused.
“What does BAMF mean?” Jimin asks Jungkook, frowning when Jungkook gives him a shocked look.
“You don’t know what BAMF means?”
“I’ve been doing my best at keeping him away from that kind of slang.” Hoseok comments, glaring at Jungkook when the young demon snickers.
“BAMF means badass motherfucker.” Jungkook answers and Jimin “Oh”s.
“That makes sense.”
Jin’s phone rings suddenly and he sighs when he looks at the name on the screen.
“We gotta go, Jungkookie. Call me if something happens though I’m pretty sure if it’s demon-related, Hoseok’s BAMF side can handle it.” Jin tells the duo before he and Jungkook leave. Hoseok and Jimin sit in silence for a while, sipping their cold coffees.
“Now that I think about it, hyung, Jungkook’s right. That side of you is a BAMF.” Jimin finally says, laughing at the blush that covers Hoseok’s cheeks afterwards.
“Hyung is so cute.”
“I can starve you, you brat.”
Chapter 20: Chapter 20
Chapter Text
Hoseok and Jimin decide to stay home the next day after deciding to take precautions from running into other demons. The two decided to watch movies while gobbling down pizza that they know they’re gonna burn off tomorrow. It was Jimin who declared that they would only watch Disney movies so right now they’re watching “UP”.
“I never thought to ask you this before hyung, but where are your parents?” Jimin asks during the scene where Mr. Fredricksen gives Russell his last badge. Hoseok doesn’t know if the movie scene brought on the younger’s curiosity about his past but it wouldn’t stop Hoseok from trying to deflect the question.
“Wherever they live Jiminie.” Hoseok forces a smile that he knows isn’t convincing but he would try anyways. Jimin frowns, clearly upset that his hyung won’t give him a straight answer… but then he remembers that he’d done the same thing when they first met.
Jimin pauses the movie even though it’s going through the end credits before turning his body to face Hoseok.
“Hoseok hyung, you know about how my parents died and left me with my uncle until I was taken to an orphanage. I won’t push you too hard if you really don’t wanna talk about it but I do want you to tell me at some point.” Jimin empathizes, placing a hand on Hoseok’s knee. The younger’s reassuring and calm tone releases the tension that had unconsciously built in Hoseok’s shoulders.
Hoseok’s sighs, running a hand through his hair. This is one trip down memory lane that he didn’t want to take.
“I don’t know who or where my parents are or even if they’re alive. I was left on the doorstep of an orphanage only days after my birth. “Mother”, as we called the head of the orphanage, told me that she never met my parents but that there was a birth record in the local hospital with all of my information except my parents. To this day, no one understands how that happened.” Hoseok glumly recounts, resting a hand on top of Jimin’s.
Seeing the sadness in his friend’s eyes made Jimin want to cry. Jimin could only vaguely remember his parents but Hoseok never got to meet his. With tears welling up in his eyes, Jimin pulls Hoseok into a hug, gripping his friend tightly as if he would disappear if he didn’t. Hoseok hugs him back just as tightly, knowing that his friend is crying because of him.

“A Nephalem, you say?”
“Yes your evilness. One has surfaced on The Middle Ground. He seems to know your youngest son.”
“Interesting.”
“What are you going to do your highness?”
“I want to bring him here. Whether he comes willingly or not depends on how convincing my little demons are.”
“He has a friend that we could use as leverage. There’s also a demon that we could use to do the task.”
“What kind of demon?”
“An incubus.”
“Perfect.”
“There’s only one problem, sir.”
“Let me guess. It’s that foolish demon my youngest left with.”
“Yes sir.”
“He won’t be a problem once we get the Nephalem. Now get to work.”
“Yes sir.”
~~~
“Nephalem.”
Jin looks up from his phone to the younger demon sitting on the floor in front of him. The younger’s been quiet ever since he got here, too busy staring at his phone. The younger’s outburst had scared him a little.
“Isn’t that the hybrid of an angel and a demon?” Jin questions, looking at the younger’s phone. Jungkook nods, looking back down at his phone as well.
“That’s got to be what Hoseok is. They’re so rare that only the oldest demons, angels, and gods know about them.”
“That makes sense. What information does that site have on them?”
“Let me see…”
“Why do you need that website made by snitching demons when you have your loyal informer right here?”
“Jaehwan!”
Chapter 21: Chapter 21
Chapter Text
“Why are you two covered in soot?” Jimin asks immediately upon opening the door, Jin and Jungkook having splotches of the dark substance all over them. Especially their faces. They both look pissed but Jin more so than Jungkook. The eldest inhales deeply before exhaling just as harshly.
“Let’s just say a certain angry idiot burned down my apartment building. Nearly turning it into ashes. May I please stay here while I look for a new place?” Jin explains, his voice taking on a deeper tone while glaring at Jungkook.
Jimin nods, letting them come inside. Hoseok enters the living room, towel wrapped around his waist, drying his hair with another, smaller towel.
“Who was at the door, Minnie?” Hoseok asks, giving his hair a few more ruffles before hanging the towel around his neck.
“Nice washboard you got there, hyung.” Jungkook compliments teasingly as Hoseok blushes. Hoseok quickly exits the living room, coming back 5 minutes later in cloud pajamas.
“A warning would’ve been nice,” Hoseok states, punching Jimin in the arm when he sits down next to the younger. Jimin groans before laughing seconds later.
“You’re the one that decided to walk around in a towel.”
“I always do that!”
“I know. That’s why I didn’t tell you.” Jimin snickers, earning another punch in the arm. When Hoseok finally pays attention to the two demons sitting on the floor, he’s shocked at how dirty they are… and they’re messing up his floor!
“Shower. Both of you need one. Follow me.”
~~~
“Wanna explain now?” Jimin asks once everyone’s back in the living room. Jin and Jungkook are in freshly conjured clothes, sitting on the floor and eating leftover pizza. Jin hums, nods then wipes his mouth.
“A friend of mine, who lives in Hell, has informed us of urgent news. Lucifer, the king of Hell, wants to put a Nephalem under his control and he will do whatever it takes to do so. Even if it means using his friend as bait.” Jin explains, purposefully leaving out details. He can see the confusion in Jimin’s and Hoseok’s eyes and it makes him laugh.
“Nephalem?” Hoseok questions, turning to Jungkook.
“A demon and angel hybrid. You.” JK
“The king of Hell wants me?!” Hoseok exclaims, jumping up from the couch. Hoseok can’t tell if he’s more scared than he is angry but he knows one thing for sure. He has the overwhelming urge to scream his head off.
Jin and Jungkook nod, turning their gazes to Jimin. Hoseok’s eyes widen as he too looks at the younger who’s been surprisingly quiet this whole time. There’s a mix of shock and fear in his eyes but his face is emotionless.
“He’s going to use me to get to Hobi hyung?” Jimin finally voices, looking to Jin for the answer. Jin sullenly nods, watching Jimin’s reaction. The human just nods, pulling out his phone.
“What are you doing, Minnie?” Hoseok asks as the younger opens the Netflix app.
“I’m about to rewatch seasons of Supernatural.”
“I know why but I’m still going to ask you. Why?”
“So I can learn how to kill demons.”
“I can teach you and Jin hyung can teach Hobi hyung how to protect himself.” Jungkook quickly offers, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Jin doesn’t say anything but he nods. He doesn’t care about the suddenness of the offer, but he does know the younger’s ulterior motive. Apparently, the young demon has gotten… “attached” to the shorter human in a short period of time.
“I don’t trust you,” Jimin states, narrowing his eyes. Jungkook laughs, unbothered by the human’s apparent hatred for him.
“Look, I know I annoy you on purpose.”
“Yes, you do.”
“But! I also know that I can both teach you how to defend yourself and I can protect you. If you’ll let me, of course.”
Jimin’s quiet for a moment, thinking over the pros and cons. He finally nods after figuring that it couldn’t be so bad, giving Jungkook a small smile.
“Fine. But if you tease me too much, I’ll get Hobi hyung to kill you.”
Jungkook laughs at that, Jin and Hoseok joining him.
“Oh right. How did your apartment building get burned down?” Jimin asks, almost smiling at the frown that appears on Jungkook’s face.
“His building burned down?” Hoseok echoes in shock.
“Yeah. Jungkook here got so angry about Lucifer’s plan to come after you and Jimin that he burst into a ball of blue flames that I couldn’t put out. So now I’m homeless until I find a new place. I was wondering if I could stay here until then.” Jin says, silently pleading that Hoseok would say yes.
“Sure. It’s the least we could do, hyung. Especially after all you’ve done for us.” Hoseok smiles at Jin, and the older demon can’t explain the warm feeling that spreads through him.
Chapter 22: Chapter 22
Chapter Text
The next week for Jimin and Hoseok was full of dancing, learning, and recording. Jin and Jungkook’s were similar with a few work-related things thrown in.
“I swear my arms are going to fall off!” Jimin exclaims, falling down on his butt. He and Jungkook had been sparring for half an hour. Jin and Hoseok were off to the side learning spells. Jin did teach the Nephalem combat as well it’s just that with his abilities, it isn’t as necessary.
“Stop complaining. Demons are relentless and ruthless. They don’t have mercy on those that get in their way.” Jungkook states bluntly, almost knowingly. It sends a shiver down Jimin’s spine.
“I’m going to go refill my water bottle. I’ll be back.” Jimin says, pushing himself up from the ground. He stumbles forward, losing his balance somewhat. Jungkook catches him by his waist, standing him back up straight.
“T-Thanks.” Jimin stutters, turning away from Jungkook so the younger can’t see his blush. Jungkook smirks but doesn’t say anything.
“Jimin, take your blade with you.” Hoseok reminds, pointing to the younger’s bag feet away. Jimin does as told, feeling just a little more comfortable with the dagger. Jin had given them both charmed daggers yesterday after training all day. It kills and wounds demons, Jin assured them of that. How the demon knew probably had something to do with the bandage wrapped around his arm.
After grabbing his water bottle and placing the dagger in his back pocket – sheathed – Jimin walks out into the hall, towards the water fountain.
“Jimin-ssi.” An alluring voice calls, making Jimin stop involuntarily. Jin-soo comes into the human’s line of view, but he can’t move. There’s this… sweet smell in the air. Jimin wants to scream, wants to grab his dagger but he can’t.
“I’m sorry, Jimin. But it’s either my life or yours. And I like living.” Jin-soo says apologetically as he lifts the younger over his shoulder.
~~
“Demon.” Jungkook grumbles, looking towards the studio door. Jin and Hoseok look up from the book then look at each other. Jungkook throws open the door and rushes into the empty hall, sniffing the air.
“Jin-soo was here, and he definitely has Jimin.” Jungkook growls, his eyes turning their cobalt blue color.
“Shit.” Jin curses, his own eyes turning a deep red. Jin turns to Hoseok who’s expression is bare, but he knows. He knows the man is internally panicking. Or so he thought.
“Time for a trip to Hell. I’m going to kill Lucifer with my bare hands if he or his minions harm my Jiminie.” The nephalem growls, his eyes turning a dark amber. The anger radiating off of him is frightening enough to make Jin and Jungkook want to run away from him.
“Hoseok.” Jin says cautiously, making no move to get closer to him, only watching him. Hoseok turns his burning gaze to Jin, slowly registering the fear and tension around them.
“The amount of power you’re radiating right now is enough to attract even the highest level of beings. Angels, demons, you name it.” Jin informs him, scanning the hall.
~~~
“Do you feel that sir?”
“Yes… The nephalem is angry. Good.”
“He’s going to kill you!”
“Yes, he will try… and he will fail.”
~~~
“It must be stopped.”
“But-”
“But nothing, Michael. You shall listen to my orders.”
~~~
“We’re going now.”
“We can’t just bust in there with no plan, Hoseok.”
“I’m not waiting.”
“I agree with Hoseok hyung.”
“Of course you do, you lovesick puppy.” SJ
“Can we focus here?!” HS
“Fine. Here’s what we’re going to do.” SJ
Chapter 23: Chapter 23
Chapter Text
“Glaring at me is not going to get you out of your predicament,” Lucifer states, glaring at the stubborn human tied up next to his thrown. Jimin had made quite the fuss once Jin-soo had dropped him in front of Lucifer, even killing some of his demons. Lucifer hopes that the nephalem will forgive him for ruffing up his friend a bit. The split lip, twisted ankle, and bruises littering the human’s arm would heal quicker than any broken bones.
Jimin can’t say anything back, not aloud at least. His mouth is sewn shut, literally. The string that sewed his lips together is not visible nor was there an actual needle involved. It’s almost like they were glued except the feeling is different. ‘Crazy bastard. Hoseok would never join you.’
“Not willingly, he wouldn’t. Which is where you come in, little one.”
‘Don’t call me that!’
Lucifer smirks as he raises from his chair. He makes his way to Jimin, crouching down once he’s standing in front of him so he’s at the human’s eye level.
“I’ll call you whatever I like,” Lucifer pulls Jimin forward by yanking a fist full of the human’s hair, “And little one, it shall be.” The demon king growls as he releases Jimin, throwing his head back.
An unearthly growl rips through the air, scaring the life out of Jimin and amusing Lucifer. Both Lucifer and Jimin turn to look at the pissed of Hoseok that had just arrived. The nephalem’s wings are out but the man gives off a dark aura this time, death and destruction seemed to be radiating from him. The very ground he stood on was breaking beneath him.
“You finally join us. Welcome.” Lucifer says, approaching Hoseok cautiously. He stops a few feet away, not because he wants to, but because of the immense power and rage coming from Hoseok.
“Give me one good reason not to kill you on the spot,” Hoseok growls, glancing at Jimin. Hoseok is seconds away from fulfilling his promise from earlier but he has to stick to the plan.
“If you kill me,” Lucifer signals to one of the loitering demons to stand behind Jimin, knife in hand, “They’ll kill him,” Lucifer states triumphantly, feeling proud of having the upper hand.
“What do you want?” Hoseok focuses his eyes on Lucifer, though he can still see what’s going on with Jimin.
“I want you to join me. Eventually, there will be a war between Heaven, Hell, and Olympus. You’ll be very valuable at that time.”
The demon guarding Jimin begins to convulse silently, dropping to the ground dead seconds later. Jimin silently freaks out at the sight of the dead body, hardly noticing the two demons freeing him from his chains.
“Calm down. It was either him or you.” Jungkook whispers, pulling Jimin to his feet.
“B-But killing him.” Jimin croaks, on the verge of tears. He’s never handled death well, even if it was just the death of a random person he’d still get sad. But seeing a dead body just made him sick to his stomach.
“We don’t have time for this. Throw up when we get out of here.” Jin states.
“Wait, how’d you guys even get down here? How’d you get rid of the spell that was on me? Why hasn’t anyone seen us yet?” Jimin panics, asking question after question. Jin and Jungkook sigh.
“We used a spell, I’m very good at removing spells, and I used a few spells to make us invisible and go unheard and to make it look like you’re still trapped,” Jin answers quickly, his words a jumbled mess. Jimin nods his head nonetheless, accepting the explanation.
“I’m sorry. I don’t take sides. I especially wouldn’t help you.” Hoseok states bluntly, watching Jungkook and Jimin disappear from his peripheral vision.
“Is that your final answer?” Lucifer answers, apparently unaware of the demon coming to stand behind him.
“Yes, it is.”
“You see, I really hate my son and his friend. They’re always getting in my way.” Lucifer states, throwing Jin backwards with a wave of his hand. Jin’s back collides with the stairs of the throne, caving them in and destroying them.
“Unfortunately, two have gotten away. The one who’s always been a thorn in my side remains, however.” Lucifer walks over to Jin, surprised that neither Hoseok nor Jin have made a move.
“Touch him and you die.” Hoseok growls, his voice filled with hatred and possessiveness. Lucifer just chuckles, ignoring Hoseok as he pulls Jin up by his hair.
“If you kill me-”
The sounds of screams, bones popping and cracking, and blood gushing echoes as demons are killed mercilessly by the force of Hoseok’s power. The color drains from Lucifer’s face but he smiles nonetheless, watching his demons be killed in the blink of an eye.
“Amazing.” Lucifer gasps, releasing Jin. Jin flops back against the throne, grunting at the pain that shoots up his spine. Without hesitation, Hoseok pins Lucifer against a wall to his left, holding him there so he can get to Jin.
“You are truly a magnificent creature.” Lucifer compliments Hoseok once again, still being ignored by the man. Hoseok lifts Jin onto his back after hiding his wings, being careful not to touch the elder’s back too much.
~~
“Why’d you even stay, Jin hyung?” Hoseok questions as he’s healing Jin. Jin had a large bruise covering the center of his back, surprisingly just having fractured his vertebrae. Jungkook had already healed Jimin when they got to the apartment, the younger wouldn’t say how but Jimin’s blush told them it was probably had something to do with kissing.
“To make sure nothing happened to you,” Jin answers, wincing when Hoseok’s fingers brush against the bruise. He’s a demon so he’ll heal quickly but the pain is still a bitch. Jungkook and Jimin snicker, making Hoseok blush even harder. Why were his dongsaengs so rude?
~~~
“See?”
“Michael-”
“We should wait and see how this plays out.”
“He’s a risk, Michael.”
“He’s not a problem right now.”
“When the time comes, I don’t want any of this hesitance.”
“Yes, Father.”
~~~
“Hermes.”
“Yes, Zeus?”
“Deliver a message for me.”
~~~
“Jungkook.”
“What is it, hyung?”
“Your father’s an asshole.” Hoseok states with disdain and malice. Jungkook and Jin laugh at the disgusted expression on Hoseok’s face.
Jimin leans over and whispers something into Jungkook’s ear, whatever he said made the demon laugh.
“You still have a boyfriend, Mochi.” Hoseok reminds, chuckling at the embarrassed and horrified expression Jimin makes. Immediately the younger man jumps up and runs to his room, then runs out the door 5 minutes later.
“Where’s he going so late?” Jungkook mumbles. Hoseok only offers the younger a smile before the man turns on the TV.

Flip the "hiatus"! I'm back
Chapter Text
Hoseok can’t be shocked anymore. Nothing could shock this man. If you told him the world was ending he wouldn’t be surprised. So when a young man appeared in his living room at 9 in the morning saying he had a message for him from Zeus, Hoseok was only filled with annoyance. How the Greek gods were real was the least of Hoseok’s worried right now.
“What does Zeus have to say to me?” Hoseok asks tiredly, still a little groggy. He just got up while everyone else is still sleeping.
“It’s the same deal as you had with Lucy-”
“Then my answer is no.”
“As expected. I’ll happily relay your message to him after I give you my own.”
Hoseok frowns at this, wondering what the god could want from him. He already knows he’s not taking sides so what more could he want?
“What is it?”
“Let’s be friends. It’s so boring and lonely being stuck up there in Olympus and I need new friends. Will you be my friend? My name is Hermes, by the way.” Hermes says, offering Hoseok a smile.
“No ulterior motives, right?”
“Does getting to eat human food count as an ulterior motive?” Hermes muses, earning a laugh from Hoseok.
“I have to go now. See you later.”
And with that Hermes disappears in a blink of the eye.
“I have one hell of a story to recite… and some research to do.”
Chapter 25: Chapter 25
Chapter Text
“Right, what happened with Yoongi hyung?” Hoseok finally asks. Jin and Jungkook had to leave for some drama Jin is starring in. Now it’s just the two of them on the couch, eating ice cream again.
“We broke up. Not because of what you’re thinking, hyung. I walked in on him having sex with this girl. I broke up with him on the spot.”
“That’s why you ran straight to your room when you came back,” Hoseok mumbles, recalling last night’s events.
The younger had come storming into the apartment, his head hung low so no one could see his face. But the others could feel the sadness and anger radiating off of the human. Jimin then locked himself in his room, ignoring Hoseok when the elder attempted to enter his room. If Hoseok had really wanted to, he could’ve teleported into the room but he knew that Jimin needed his space.
“Well Yoonmin sank, now Jikook can sail.” Hoseok comments, laughing when Jimin blushes.
“You and your ship names.”
“Admit it, you have feelings for him,” Hoseok says in a playfully accusing way, watching Jimin turn as red as a tomato.
“I’ll admit that when you admit you feel more than just admiration for Jin hyung.” Jimin counters, a knowing smile appearing on his face now that it’s Hoseok turn to become a blushing mess.
“I don’t know of this Jin hyung you speak of. Are you hungry?” Hoseok quickly changes the subject, making Jimin laugh.
~~~
“You befriended him?”
“Of course I did. You guys make terrible friends.”
“Hermes.”
“Get over it. He’s a neutral figure. Nothing will change that without killing us all.”
“… I guess you’re right.”
~~~
6 PM
~~
“Why are you smiling at your phone, Jungkook?” Jin asks the younger from his side of the car, already knowing it has to be Jimin related. Or memes, it could be memes. Those are the only two things that boy smiles at.
“Jimin’s Instagram post about his “cheating ex” and how he’s finally single again.”
Jin chuckles himself at the younger’s summary of the post.
“This could be your chance.”
“Don’t get my hopes up, hyung!”
~~
Jimin sneezes quietly, drawing Hoseok’s attention to him.
“Someone’s talking about you. Probably Jungkook.” Hoseok teases, only to be waved off.
“You’re speaking a lot of nonsense recently, hyung,” Jimin says quietly, slapping Hoseok’s bare leg. Wearing shorts was not the best idea. There’s a knock at the door so Jimin gets up from the couch and opens the door.
“Hey, Jin hyung and Jungkookie.” Jimin greets warmly, the blush on both his and Jungkook’s faces not going unnoticed by Jin.
“When-When did you start calling me that?” Jungkook asks, mentally kicking himself for stuttering. Jin glances between the two of them before making his way inside. No matter how much he wanted to see Jungkook become a blushing mess, he knew the younger would be nothing but nerves if he stayed. Besides, Jin would rather see Hoseok right now.
Jin enters the living room, looks at Hoseok and pauses, then walks back out. His face is as red as blood. After 3 minutes, the demon pokes his head inside of the room.
“Hoseok,” Jin says in a whisper, like he’s too shy to say what he has to say. Hoseok gives Jin a puzzled look, confused by the elder’s odd behavior.
“Why are you wearing shorts?”
Hoseok huffs in annoyance, he’d thought there was something actually wrong.
“Stop being silly, hyung. Come sit down. And what are those two doing?” Hoseok’s attention suddenly switches to the two youngest that haven’t come in yet, nor has the door closed. Jin shrugs as he sits down next to the other man, not being able to keep his eyes off of him.
“Hyung, if I didn’t know any better, I’d call you an incubus.” Hoseok comments, poking Jin in the cheek in an attempt to make him turn his head. Jin grabs Hoseok’s hand and brings it to his lips, kissing the back of it. Hoseok immediately pulls his hand away and wipes his hand on his shorts, blushing furiously. This is when Jimin decides to run in and sit on the arm of the couch next to Hoseok, blushing just as hard as his hyung. Jungkook comes in seconds later with a smile on his face, he sits on the floor.
“So Jin hyung, how was your drama?” Jimin asks, trying to ease the awkward tension in the room. Jin happily indulged Jimin, telling the younger what the drama was about and who his character was. Hoseok and Jungkook just listen to the two of them, Jungkook focused on Jimin and Hoseok focused on Jin.
Chapter 26: Chapter 26
Chapter Text
It’s 5 in the morning. Jimin is asleep in his room and Jin is sleeping in Hoseok’s. Hoseok himself is sitting in the living room with a cup of tea, just thinking. Thinking about his life, being a supernatural being, his newfound feelings for a certain someone. He’s just thinking about everything that’s happened. Does he want to change any of part of this? Does he like this change that has happened? If he had the chance, would he change his life?
“Hyung?” Jimin’s groggy voice jolts Hoseok from his reverie. The younger shuffles into Hoseok’s sight, obviously still half asleep. Hoseok sets his cup down on the table before pulling the younger into his lap.
“What are you doing up Minnie?” Hoseok asks in a hushed tone, running his fingers through the younger’s hair in a comforting way. The only times Jimin wakes up in the middle of the night are when he has nightmares or he's excited about something. Going by Jimin's sleepy but not tear-stained face, the younger is excited about something.
"I must be too excited about something." Jimin mumbles, rubbing the remaining sleep from his eyes.
"What did you and Jungkook talk about?" Hoseok asks, looking down at the human. Jimin's quiet for a few seconds, then for a whole minute.
"He asked me out." Jimin mumbles, hiding his face in Hoseok's clothed chest. Hoseok laughs quietly, making Jimin pout.
"Did you say yes?"
Nod
"When's the date?"
"Tomorrow night."
"Want my help?"
Nod
"My baby's growing up." Hoseok coos, kissing Jimin's forehead. Jimin whines, wiping his forehead furiously.
"Don't do that." He whines, succeeding in making Hoseok laugh again.
"Why are you up hyung?"
Hoseok's smile falls and a somber expression takes its place.
"I was just thinking. I haven't slept a wink." Hoseok admits, receiving a disapproving look that he expected to get. Jimin doesn’t say what he expects though.
“Nothing that is you hyung, can be changed. This has all been you from the start and you’ve always been perfect. I love you hyung.” Jimin says gently, cupping the elder’s cheek. Hoseok leans into the touch and sighs, closing his eyes. He didn’t know he needed to hear those words until they were said.
“Thank you, Jiminie… I love you too.”
~~~
Jin is so happy he brought his phone with him on his trip to the kitchen. He’s also happy he decided to check the living room on his way. He makes sure his flash is off so he won’t wake them up by accident when he takes the picture. Hoseok and Jimin are sleeping. They’re hugging each other, Jimin’s leg thrown over Hoseok’s hip. If it wasn’t so cute, Jin would be jealous.
“Hey Jin, I have that information you wanted. It’s really sad, poor kid.” Jaehwan says suddenly, way too loud for Jin’s liking. Jin turns to shush the demon but it’s in vain as he hears the groans and shifting around on the couch.
“Oops. Sorry.” Jaehwan says sheepishly, giving Jin a nervous smile. Jin sighs before pulling the demon into the kitchen.
~~
“This is Jaehwan hyung, my friend and informant.” Jin introduces. Jaehwan gives a slight bow, Jimin and Hoseok mimic the action.
“So what’d you find out?” Jin asks, sitting down at the kitchen table.
“You asked him to find something?” Hoseok queries, sitting down while Jimin busies himself with making coffee.
“You won’t get mad at me?”
“Why would I get mad?”
“Because it’s something about your past.” Jin admits, giving Hoseok an apologetic look. Hoseok doesn’t say anything, partially because of shock. Hoseok wants to be upset but he’s too curious to scold Jin. Jaehwan takes that as his cue to talk.
“Well here’s what I found out and why it’s so sad. Hoseok’s parents, an angel and a shapeshifter, are dead. The angel, his mother, died hours after Hoseok was born. She was killed by her own kind for her “betrayal”. Hoseok’s father got away with him,” Jaehwan turns to looks at Hoseok, “He dropped you off at the orphanage before going into hiding. He died 3 years but not before having another child with a human. You have a sister, Hoseok-ssi.” Jaehwan finishes warmly, giving the man a comforting smile. It’s silent, no one moves, no one says anything.
Hoseok’s crying, he doesn’t notice the tears slowly streaming down his face. Not until Jimin and Jin side hug him tightly, the younger of the two wiping the tears away. Both of them whispering comforting words that he doesn’t hear. His mind is filled with jumbled thoughts. Some happy, some depressing.
“I… have a sister.” Hoseok croaks after his thoughts are somewhat sorted out. Jaehwan smiles brightly and nods, noticing the hope and excitement in the other man’s eyes.
“She lives in Gwangju. Moved there recently, near your old orphanage.” Jaehwan adds. Hoseok nods, thanking Jaehwan before thanking Jimin and Jin, asking them to stop hugging him afterwards. They’re both reluctant to so until Hoseok says he’s going to make breakfast, they quickly let go afterwards.
Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Chapter Text
“Stop throwing your clothes onto the floor. I’m the one cleaning up after!” Hoseok yells, throwing one of the shirts he picked up at its owner. Jimin doesn’t move an inch when the shirt lands on his head. He continues staring into his closet.
“I don’t know what to wear.” He finally says exasperatedly, flopping down onto his bed. Hoseok shakes his head at the younger’s indecisiveness, chuckling. He walks over to the closet to browse for an outfit himself.
“It’s the classic movie and dinner, right?”
“Yes hyung.”
“Then white button-up and black tights it is,” Hoseok states, throwing said items at him. They land on top of him, the shirt covering his face.
“Hyung,” Jimin whines, looking at the clothes with disdain.
“No whining. Those clothes are decent enough for where you’re going and the tights accentuate your butt.” Hoseok subtly compliments the younger, gesturing to his butt.
“You’ve been staring.”
“So have you.”
There’s a pause before Hoseok and Jimin burst into a fit of giggles.
~~
“The movie ends at something after 9, right?”
“Yes, Hobi hyung.”
“Then I expect for him to be home by 11 with absolutely no marks, bruises, and no limping,” Hoseok states, looking Jungkook in the eye. Jungkook and Jimin blush immediately, Jimin hiding his face in his hands.
“Hyung!” Jimin whines, slapping Hoseok’s shoulder as the elder laughs.
“Go have fun but not too much fun.” Hoseok encourages as he watches the two walk off. When Hoseok turns around, Jin’s right behind him, making the man scream.
“Are you trying to kill me?!” Hoseok shrieks, Jin covers his ears at how loud the younger man is.
“Are you trying to make me go deaf?” Jin retorts, earning an eye roll from the other.
“You deserve it for sneaking up on me,” Hoseok grumbles, walking past Jin to the living room. Jin follows behind him, wrapping his arms around the barely shorter male’s waist. Pulling Hoseok back against him, Jin presses his lips to the nephalem’s neck.
“Hobi-ah, we should go on a date of our own. With all the marks, bruises, and limping.” Jin whispers seductively, pressing soft kisses against the back of Hoseok’s neck. Hoseok whines, leaning into the soft touches. When Jin starts to suck and nibble that’s when Hoseok pulls himself out of the older man’s grasp.
“No,” Hoseok says firmly, crossing his arms and sitting down on the couch. Jin chuckles as he joins Hoseok on the couch, smiling at the younger whose face is as red as a cherry.
“If we go on a date, that will not come after,” Hoseok adds, clamping a hand over his mouth after realizing what he just implied. Jin’s smile becomes impossibly wider as he pulls Hoseok partly onto his lap, so now the younger’s sitting on one of Jin’s thighs.
“Does this mean what I think it means, Hoseokie?” Jin whispers into the other’s ear, unable to stop smiling.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Hoseok denies, unconsciously leaning back into Jin. He wouldn’t admit this out loud, maybe, but he feels really secure and comfortable in the demon’s arms.
“Should I say it first, Hobi-ah?” Jin asks gently, half expecting the nephalem not to answer. Hoseok shifts around until he’s fully straddling Jin’s lap, looking into the other man’s eyes. Hoseok takes Jin’s hands into his own, intertwining their fingers together tightly. Both men sigh in contentment, enjoying being in each other’s presence. There’s just as much love and adoration in Jin’s eyes as there is in Hoseok’s.
“I-I love you.” Hoseok mumbles, the cherry blush returning to his face.
“I love you too,” Jin says sincerely, pressing their foreheads together. The two men are lost in each other’s eyes until there’s a flash and a mumbled curse that follows it. Hoseok sighs, before glancing at the living room doorframe.
“Taehyung.”
Chapter 28: Chapter 28
Chapter Text
“Holy shit!” Taehyung yells excitedly, eyes wide with awe. He had convinced a very reluctant Hoseok to let him touch his wings. This is after the long explanation the nephalem gave the human about why he and Jimin had been so distant.
"You're yelling in my ear." Hoseok growls at the younger from his position on the floor, between the human's legs. Jin's sitting on the floor in front of him.
"Sorry hyung." Taehyung says unapologetically, chuckling nervously when Hoseok glares at him.
"Remember Tae. You can't tell anyone else that I don't approve of."
"Not even Yoongi hyung?"
"Definitely not that bastard." Hoseok hisses, practically seething at the mention of the human. Cheating has never been something that sat well with Hoseok, it made him angry even if it didn't involve him. So the very thought and reminder that his closest friend was cheated on made him livid.
"What did hyung do?" Taehyung asks, ignoring the tremble in his voice. He could feel the anger radiating from Hoseok and it scared him.
"He cheated on Jimin, that's what that bastard did. And speaking of bastards," Hoseok turns to Jin, "Have you heard anything about Jin-soo?"
Jin sighs as he leans back on his hands.
"Jin-soo has gone into hiding. There's no trace of him anywhere. Jaehwan and I suspect he's probably killed himself or has become warded." Jin answers with a sigh, disappointed that he can't kill the incubus yet.
“So are you going to meet your sister Hobi hyung?” Taehyung asks, changing the subject completely. The younger still has his hands touching the feathers.
“Yeah, just… not yet. It will be soon though.” Hoseok decides quietly, his face forlorn. The thought of seeing his half-sister both scared and excited him. He didn’t know how she’d react or if she’d even believe him… Jaehwan never even told him how old she is! Or her name…
Jin pats Hoseok’s thigh in hopes of comforting the man, after seeing the man’s internal conflict.
“Don’t worry. Don’t overthink it. You’ll meet your sister soon and we’ll all go with you if you want.” Jin offers, giving the younger’s thigh a squeeze. Taehyung hums in agreement, moving his hand to give Hoseok’s shoulder a squeeze as well.
“Thank you.” Hoseok says, looking in-between the two other men, smiling.
~~
“Hyung, there are so many comments screaming ‘2seok’. You two are the next big thing.” Jimin comments, looking down at his phone. The human had made a vlog, with the consent of the two demons and nephalem, about their relationship statuses.
It’s the next day, they’re all in the dance studio, sitting around after 4 hours of dancing. There were 15-minute breaks in between each hour though.
“Nothing about Jikook?” Hoseok asks after taking a sip from his water bottle. He’s currently sitting in between Jin’s legs, lying against the elder.
“There are a few comments…” Jimin mumbles, becoming flustered from hearing his and Jungkook’s ship name.
“Yeah, a few.” Jungkook scoffs, smirking. Jimin’s blush darkens at the younger’s words.
“By the way… is your company okay with this?”
Hoseok turns to Jin, the question a sudden thought. What would happen if Jin’s company wouldn’t them to date each other?
“You worry too much. Dating is allowed as long as it won’t conflict with business.” Jin informs the nephalem, lightly kissing Hoseok on the forehead.
“You two are too fluffy.” Jimin comments, grinning at the couple. Hoseok rolls his eyes.
~~~~~~~~
This is kind of like a filler before the epilogue :D
Oh and I need a name for Hoseok’s sis… if you know her actual name that’d be nice (and creepy if he never disclosed it XD)
Chapter 29: Chapter 29 (Epilogue)
Chapter Text
“Please don’t leave me alone with him.”
“Please don’t leave me alone with him.”
Hoseok rolls his eyes at the whines of his boyfriend and son. The 10-year-old son that they adopted last year. He has to go take care of his pregnant sister, Jiwoo, for a few days and his immature boyfriend of 3 years doesn’t want him to leave. He had tried to convince the demon to come with him, Jimin would’ve been happy to babysit while they were away, but the demon had refused. This probably has to do with his sister’s mood swings… Jin swears the girl will kill him.
“Will you two stop being so dramatic? It’s only 4 days. Jeonhan, take care of your father. And Jin, only 1 dad joke a day.” Hoseok instructs, laughing along with Jeonhan when Jin whines.
Yes, it’s been 3 long and happy years since Hoseok and Jin started dating. 2 years since Hoseok started occasionally working with Jin’s company as a dance instructor. 1 year since the couple became a family.
Jimin and Jungkook have been going just as strong. The couple recently decided to adopt a little toddler named Haneul. He’s the cutest little thing… but not as cute as Jeonhan.
“I’m going to miss you Hoseokie.” Jin whines, kissing the man on his cheek. Jeonhan makes a sound of disgust, prompting Jin to pepper kisses all over Hoseok’s face. Jeonhan whines and covers his face, calling his parents gross. Hoseok laughs, pushing Jin away gently.
“Stop messing around. Remember what I said.” Hoseok says, referring to what he just said. Jin had decided it’d be fun to start telling silly puns since he’s a dad now. It has brought humor to Hoseok and torture to Jeonhan.
“Alright, alright.”
“Jimin and Taehyung will be coming over to check on you two.”
“Does that mean Taehyung’s finally bringing Yoongi to meet Jeonhan?” Jin questions.
The group of friends had made up a month after Jikook became official, after Yoongi apologized and Hoseok and Jimin got a couple of punches in. And surprisingly, a year later, Yoongi and Taehyung started dating. Obviously Jimin and Hoseok threatened the elder, that if he ever hurt him, they’d kill him and bring him back to life just so they could kill him again.
“Yep.”
“I finally get to meet Uncle Suga?” Jeonhan asks excitedly, bouncing on his toes. Hoseok and Jin laugh at the child’s enthusiasm, the elder picking the 10-year-old up.
“Yeah. You finally get to meet that grumpy uncle of yours.” Hoseok says, laughing as the little boy cheers loudly. He checks the time on his phone and he groans quietly.
“I gotta go guys. Love you.” Hoseok says hurriedly, kissing both Jeonhan and Jin on their cheeks before running out of the door, his overnight bag slung over his shoulder. Jin and Jeonhan stare at the door for a few seconds before the man looks at the child.
“Pizza and Mario Kart?”
“Yes!”
