Chapter 1: Rush
Chapter Text
January 14th. The day Yoongi dreaded. His busiest day of the month, going in and out of meetings back to back, meeting people that only respected him for his power and not his work, the only word to describe the day ahead was "Pitiful" or "Shit" if it came from Yoongi himself. He regrettably checked his phone while still in bed to see his schedule only to see a text from his best friend and business partner, Kim Namjoon. The message read;
Hey Yoongi, if you want me to take your 11 and 6'o clock meetings, I'm willing to do so.
Yoongi sighed, grateful for his friend willing to do his work because he knew sure damn well he was going to ask him anyway. He replied with a casual 'Sure, thanks, man', and proceeded to throw the covers off of himself to make his way to the bathroom. As he walked in and turned on the light to exam himself in the mirror, he looked like pure shit. He only had an hour, latest, to make it out the door before his meeting 30 minutes after that. He immediately jumped into the glass door shower and started to bathe himself. Soon he was out the shower and brushing his hair before putting on his suit and applying a little makeup and heading out the door of his mansion. He already called his driver so he impatiently waited until he saw a sleek black limousine pull up near his house and walked towards it.
"I need to be at the office in ten minutes," Yoongi said sternly without another thought as he climbed into the car with his driver closing the door right behind him. No later than 7 seconds later, the vehicle was on its' way.

Chapter Text
As soon as Yoongi walked through the company doors, a frown formed on his face. A quick wave to his assistant Sunmi and he was in the elevator immediately. He took a glance to the boy beside him, probably here for an audition, Yoongi assumed. But as soon as the boy caught him looking at him, he automatically stared back. They stared at each other for quite some time, or that's was Yoongi thought as he looked into the boys' ethereal eyes and beautiful proportional features. His gazing was soon cut short by the elevator doors opening and the boy walking out like nothing happened. He sighed to himself as the doors closed and took him up even further up, to the 23rd floor, known as his office.
Right as he stepped out, he was greeted by a crowd of important people he could care less about, yet he still shook their hands because they were essential to his business. He made his way into the meeting room adjacent from his office and sat right at the head of the table and waited for the others to come in. A couple minutes of rustling and Yoongi already being irritated, Sunmi brought his coffee, a frozen decaf with very little cream. He was grateful to her for doing this and him not having to ask. He thanked her.
"No problem, I pushed your next meeting to 1 o'clock because Hoseok wanted you to see an audition of a boy he favored". Sunmi whispered into his ear. Yoongi checked his watch, it read; 9:42 a.m.
"Thank you Sunmi, I promise you can take tomorrow off for working today, I appreciate all you do," Yoongi spoke.
"Of course, thank you so much." She said before walking out and heading back to the front desk. Yoongi clasped his hands as a sign he wanted to begin the meeting, seeing it was already a quarter to 10.
"Well?" Yoongi said with a slight bite. Almost like a flash of lightning, a man stood up and started to talk about his idea of changing the audition process. The meeting went by like a blur and all Yoongi could remember was leaving as soon as it turned 10:05, probably interrupting someone who was speaking but he could care less. He just needed to get out of that room so he headed to the audition studio where Hoseok was.
-
”Yah! Hobi I haven’t seen you in days!” Yoongi exclaimed, glad to see his other best friend.
“Well, you know how auditions go. I told this kid who’s name ‘Jimin’ to come in because I saw this video of him dancing to my choreography and he killed it.” Hoseok explained.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, “Mhmm” pretending not to care.
”Trust me Hyung! You’ll love him.” Hoseok replies instantly. Only Yoongi didn’t know that this love he heard was going to mean something else. Just as the thought came to an end, a boy walked in. Yoongi realized it was the same boy he was gazing at in the elevator. His voice caught in his throat as he shook hands with the boy, investigating each one of his features one by one.
“Hi, I’m Park Jimin,” The boy said to Yoongi and Hoseok.
“Jimin you can start at any time,” Hoseok said.
”Thank you Hoseok-ssi,” Jimin said before dropping his things on the far corner of the studio as Yoongi and Hoseok sat down.
Hoseok leaned to turn on the stereo as Jimin gave him a sign that he was ready. Just as the music started, Yoongi was mesmerized. Jimin moved flawlessly and exact to the music, almost like it was made just for him to dance to. He danced so effortlessly that Yoongi wanted to see even more as the act finished.
"Is that, uh, okay for now?" Jimin panted, reaching for his water bottle in the corner of the room. Hoseok looked at Yoongi and Yoongi gave him his rare but signature gummy smile, showing he was genuinely impressed and interested.
"Perfect!" Hoseok exclaimed. "If you don't mind could you stay to fill out papers and such? Call your lawyer if you want but we'll be taking good care of you here." He continued.
Yoongi glanced at his watch; 10:16 a.m. He had to get to his office for a quick conference call regarding a copyright issue with S.M. Entertainment.
"Hobi I have a conference call, I'll tell you when you can send him to my office." Yoongi disclosed quickly, trying not to reveal too much information knowing that Jimin still did not have a contract with him. He didn't need more rumors going out over a misconception, this conflict with SM was already enough for him and it only lasted 3 days. As Yoongi walked out of the room, Jimin bowed deeply to him, showing respect towards his elder and future boss. Yoongi was sure he saw the boys' eyes sparkle, he turned around a looked again to see,
Wow.

Chapter Text
Yoongi finally hung up the 45 minutes call that had him in need of Advil ASAP. Right as he finished buzzing Sunmi, he called Hoseok on his cell.
"Hobi I just finished, tell him to wait outside my door cause I have a major headache," Yoongi said tiredly.
"Alright hyung, drink less coffee for once," Hoseok suggested.
"You're really asking for it" Yoongi groaned
"Just don't fuck the kid, I saw the way you've been looking at him."
"He's legal." Yoongi deadpanned.
"Hyung!" Hoseok yelled through the phone
Yoongi hung up the call silently laughing at how his best friend could get so flustered. He put his head down into his arms thinking that maybe the less light reaching his eyes will help cure his headache. Just as he did that, a knock on his office door and Sunmi came in.
"I'm so sorry Min, the boy outside kept asking if you were okay and kept me back from coming in sooner." Sunmi apologized.
"Ugh," Yoongi said under his breath before lifting his head. "Thanks." He said, trying to get his point across that he doesn't feel like talking. Sunmi walked over and closed the blinds in the room before heading out, sensing that it was affecting his headache. Yoongi took the pill and sipped at the water, wondering where the contract forms where.
'Maybe if I jump out this window I can go home early and nobody will notice' He thought to himself. Eventually coming to the conclusion that the press was always within a 2-mile radius of his company and he couldn't escape as easily as he thought, he called Hoseok again.
"What?"
"Looks like someone's getting demoted."
"Okay okay, sorry hyung. Why'd you call?" Hoseok asked.
"Well you see Hobi, I need the contract papers and I forgot where they are"
"Third cabinet in the closet and uh..second drawer"
Right after Hoseok stopped speaking, Yoongi hung up. Yes, he knew it was costing him multiple texts from the younger calling him an unmannered pig but he had to get shit done so he could go home and go to sleep. Yoongi made a beeline for the closet and after rummaging for a while despite Hoseok's clear instructions, he found the big packet of contracting papers and sat back down at his desk.
"I really just want to go home." Yoongi sighed to himself.
