Chapter 1: Prologue: Awakening
Chapter Text
"Who I am?
Where I am?
What happened?
Why do I keep asking these questions that you don't even understand?
Oh, you hadn't noticed I was talking to you? How careless and how rude of you.
Anyway, I don't doubt that you already know me, after all, my counterpart of that world with colored horses is quite well known.
That's right, it's me, Discord, master of chaos and god of mischief, despite what Loki says, for the only lie about him is him being Asgardian.
Didn't you know that I know him? Well yes, that's right, I share this universe with other beings as malicious and powerful as me, and even worse. That usually happens when you combine so many universes. Not that I was behind that combination, no, that was a creature who is much more twisted and evil than Surtur, Dormammu, Bill Cipher and I put together.
Anyway, back to the point, I am Discord and to my disgrace, I'm locked into some kind of parallel dimension, all thanks to two beings, Merlin, the former Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth, and Festivia, one of the many usurpers that Mewni has had since they killed that Gothic queen... or did they banish her? I don't know, I don't really care. The point is that those two fools with no sense of humor locked me in this place just because I got the power to alter reality and tried to make the world more entertaining.
But no, that pair of self-righteous idiots had to say: Discord, you've been a bad boy, now you go to the corner for being mean and we don't care if we're not your parents, you have to obey us because we're old and boring, and we want you to be unhappy. Oh, and by the way, go to the corner is a metaphor for saying that we'll lock you up for all eternity in an empty dimension, without food, oxygen, water or anything that could be fun.
Crybabies, I just wanted to have fun and make others share said fun with me.
But that's not important, no more, all thanks to that lizard with powers of Deadpool... Hey, I may be locked in here, but that doesn't mean that I don't see the news. Anyway, thanks to that Bubblegum or whatever his name is, I'm free and this time there are no strings on me! (It's a reference, let's see if you can guess to what).
I hope the humans are ready for some chaos, because neither bug-boy and his friends in colored tights, nor the Avengers, nor the hyperactive magical girl and her boyfriend, nor the cliché teenagers in troubled armor, nor the weird twins and their even weirder friends, nor the Canadian weirdos, nor much less the non-furry versions of colored ponies from another dimension, will stand a chance against me... Yeesh, stupid script that makes me say all that."
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing."

EQUESTRIA GIRLS: END OF HARMONY.
Chapter 2: Agents of W.A.N.D.
Summary:
Just another day in the life of Sunset Shimmer and company, agents of the Wizardry, Alchemy and Necromancy Department
Chapter Text
It was a quiet morning in the city of Equestria, Ohio.
Birds were chirping, people were hurrying to work or to fulfill their errands, cars were passing by on the streets and the whispers of passersby filled the air.
Everyone lived in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
But for a girl with a curious golden and red hair, that day was hell.
Since her fateful encounter with Abacus Cinch and the agency she ran, young Sunset Shimmer had done nothing but receive insult after insult from the Director of the Wizardy, Alchemy and Necromancy Department due to the lack of performance that she and her friends demonstrated.
While Chief of Operations Evelyn Weir and Deputy Director Stanford Pines were nice, and were always kind to them, Cinch was, for lack of a more polite but equally correct term, a bitch.
Cinch was constantly waking her up at odd hours of the morning and taking her and her friends to military training camps, putting them through Avengers-level drills.
And she knew it was true since she could see the Stark Industries logo on several pieces of equipment at the Siege, the headquarters of W.A.N.D.
In just the first week of said training, Rarity had broken her arm, Applejack had had to receive twenty stitches in her right leg, Twilight had taken a bullet in her left arm, Rainbow Dash had dislocated her left knee, Fluttershy had gotten a metal spike driven through her shoulder, and Pinkie Pie... well, she was slightly grumpier. For some strange reason, she got through all of the training sessions almost unscathed, save for the occasional bruise or scrape.
As for Sunset, not having physical or magical abilities on the same level as her friends, she was on the verge of dying no less than twelve times, had it not been for the others intervening, causing the aforementioned injuries.
And Cinch didn't seem to care in the slightest.
Luckily for them, Cinch had come up with the idea of replacing them in their daily lives with Life Model Decoys, or LMDs for short, which prevented any questions from their classmates, teachers, and/or coworkers about their injuries, although everyone in town already suspected that the girls had been replaced and why it might be, the multiple magical events involving Sunset Shimmer and her friends being basically an open secret.
But unfortunately for her, her torture had only just begun.
And what was worse, Sunset simply told them that they had to continue, that soon everything would change, but apart from the problems the Avengers had had with the Kree and a wave of magical energy that Twilight had found, there had been no change in her life. Even Sunset herself had to admit that she was losing hope, mainly because her visions included people like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ladybug, the Angel Grove Color Warriors (who she now knew called themselves Power Rangers, thanks to the data collected by S.W.O.R.D.), and a girl whose profile was included in the W.A.N.D. database, but only showed that she was a Beta-level threat, that she was the princess of a kingdom in another dimension, and that her name was Star Butterfly.
And as young Sunset prepared for another day of torture, a message came through on her cell phone. The girl took the device and looked at the message, which was nothing more than another message from Cinch to get ready for that day's training.
"I know, Cinch, I know..." Sunset growled through clenched teeth.
Sunset sighed and got out of bed, heading to take a quick shower and put on the W.A.N.D. uniform. that Cinch had given her.
After finishing getting ready, Sunset took her magic geode and left her home, where a W.A.N.D. transport was waiting for her.
The girl with golden and red hair boarded the transport, noticing that she was the only one of her friends missing, then it took off and flew at supersonic speeds to the Siege, while Sunset sat next to Twilight, who only managed to sigh.
"Hey, Sunset." Twilight said.
"Sorry I was late, I didn't hear my alarm this morning." Sunset said.
"It doesn't matter, I just hope we don't get the holographic simulator today." Fluttershy sighed as she hugged her legs. "I don't like it when Cinch makes us fight the Avengers..."
"Are you kidding? That's the only cool part of our training!" Rainbow Dash said energetically.
"I don't like to see the Avengers as the bad guys... they are heroes..."
"Calm down, Fluttershy, they're just simulations, the real ones'd never do somethin' like that." Applejack said.
"Certainly, Cinch just wants to plant in our heads that those who work for the UN Security Council, like the Power Rangers and us, are the good guys and everyone who doesn't, are the bad guys." Rarity said. "And I know this from the exercises where we fought against Spider-Man, Ladybug and Chat Noir."
"Ah' wouldn't trust that Spider-Man guy too much." Applejack said while adjusting her hat.
"I would, the Avengers wouldn't include anyone who was bad in their team." Rainbow Dash said.
"And what 'bout the Red Hulk and the fact that Captain America himself mentioned wanting to add the Winter Soldier to the team?"
"The Red Hulk is in prison because Iron Man didn't trust him from the beginning."
"The Winter Soldier thing is because he must know what he's doing, I mean, we're talking about Captain America after all." Twilight intervened.
"And about Spidey, the Daily Bugle and all of J3 Communications are against the arachnid. I once saw that J. Jonah Jameson blamed Spider-Man for what happened in Angel Grove, he even blamed him for everything that happened at our school." Rainbow snapped in an indignant tone.
"Yeah, but still, you've to take into account what the reports say 'bout this Dennis Carradine guy, and the Captain of the New York Police Department and his daughter. Spider-Man is involved in the death of all three."
"I know, but he's not the bad guy, haven't you ever seen the reports about Kang's second coming, the Goblin Nation, or the Ladyblog and Nadja Chamack's newscast?"
"Wait, the last two are in French, how do you know everything they say?" Twilight asked.
At that moment, Rainbow couldn't help but let a proud smile form on her face as she looked at the young sorceress and said.-
"Well, it turns out that besides being super fast, I can learn super fast. So I read a translation dictionary and, from the context, I learned the language in one afternoon."
"Impressive."
"She ain't the only one who discovered new abilities." Applejack said. "For example, apart from being super strong and having a very high stamina, Ah' also have super resistance."
"Cinch shot you at point-blank range while you were in the locker room, didn't she?" Rarity asked with a tone of annoyance at her superior's audacity.
"Yeah, luckily Ah' had mah powers active or Ah'd probably be in a wheelchair..."
"Cinch is going overboard, even with the things the Script leaves out so that this story doesn't go on forever and doesn't take 12 months to be updated." Pinkie Pie suddenly blurted out as she read the Script. "Although as usual in this author's stories, it doesn't work at all because he still takes forever to update."
"I don't understand what you're saying, but I agree that Cinch is being too cruel." Twilight said as she sighed. "Sunset, do you really think we can escape from this?"
"I know it's hard, but you have to trust me." Sunset said.
"I can't help but feel like we have no way out." Rarity said.
"And I have a bad feeling about this..." Fluttershy said.
Sunset sighed and crossed her arms as she leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes, thinking about whether it was really a good idea to follow her instinct and those visions. After a couple of hours that passed rather quickly due to the pleasant chatter between the W.A.N.D. agents, the transport gradually slowed down, which surprised the girls a little, since they knew that the Siege was almost four hours away by flight and it had only been three.
"Agents, prepare for descent." The transport's pilot said suddenly.
"What do you mean, pilot? We're not there yet." Rarity said.
"Director Cinch gave orders for you to make a jump and get to the Siege on your own."
"This has to be a joke." Applejack said.
"It's no joke." Cinch's voice said over the transport's communicator. "It's a practical exercise to test your skills in the field, in a hostile environment and without reinforcements."
"This is an abuse and you know it, Director Cinch!" A furious Sunset snapped.
"Maybe, but it's necessary to see how much you've progressed. Simulators can only give us an approximation of her progress."
"This is retaliation for the Friendship Games! Just like everything she's done since we met again!"
"No, everything I do is necessary, the retaliation is just an extra bonus..."
Twilight growled and shot a magic beam at the transport's communicator, destroying it as she reluctantly stood up and unbuckled her belts to grab one of the parachutes, being imitated by her friends.
"This is the last straw..." Applejack said as she threw the parachute over her shoulders.
"At least I had time to prepare for something like this." Twilight said as she grabbed her backpack. "I was expecting Cinch to have an idea like that, so I prepared some emergency supplies."
"I don't want to jump..." Fluttershy said as she trembled.
"Calm down, sugarcube, Ah'll help y'all." Applejack said as she hugged Fluttershy.
"Hurry up, agents! If we pass the drop-off point, the ship will eject you!" The pilot warned.
"Great, this will ruin my hair." Rarity said with a sigh.
"That's not the important thing here, Rarity..." Sunset sighed as she secured her parachute.
"No, but it's not helping our situation either."
"Drop point at 90 seconds, agents!" The pilot warned.
"You're not helping, pilot!" Rainbow Dash growled.
The W.A.N.D. agents sighed heavily and finished preparing for the descent, except for Fluttershy, who was put in a harness by Applejack, which she secured to her parachute so that they would descend together and the shy girl wouldn't be so scared.
Then, Rainbow Dash opened the back hatch and the agents looked down, noticing the Durango desert below them.
After a couple of seconds, Rainbow Dash smiled and turned around to look at her friends.
"See you down there..." Rainbow said before crossing her arms over her torso and letting herself fall on her back.
At Rainbow Dash's audacity, the team leader sighed heavily, looking at the seat where the rainbow-haired girl had been, seeing her parachute and said.-
"She didn't take her parachute."
"She never does." Twilight sighed.
"I hate it when she does that."
"That looked fun!" Pinkie blurted out before jumping. "My turn!"
"Pinkie, no!"
Sunset reached out to try and grab her fun-loving friend, but it was in vain, she only heard her giggle excitedly as she fell.
"Ugh... I really hate it when they do that." Sunset muttered. "At least she did have a parachute."
The rest of the girls sighed and nodded, then, one by one, they jumped off the transport, with Fluttershy feeling more and more nervous as her turn came along with Applejack.
Finally, it was Applejack's turn, who hugged Fluttershy tightly before jumping off the transport, causing the pinkette to close her eyes tightly and tense up so that her hair was the only thing that wasn't stiff as stone during the fall, while she paled from pure terror.
As they descended, Rainbow Dash couldn't help but let out a cry of euphoria and do a few pirouettes in the air, because despite hating most of Cinch's training, things like that made her feel that having to put up with the Director of W.A.N.D. was worth it, something that was reaffirmed when she saw Pinkie and her own aerial pirouettes, managing to hear her laughter, true to Pinkie's nature of defying all logic and the laws of physics.
On the other hand, Sunset and the rest of her friends were in free fall, without changing their expression of annoyance and their free fall position.
After reaching 500 meters, everyone, including Pinkie, extended their arms and legs to create more resistance against the wind and pulled the parachute cord, slowing their descent, except for Rainbow Dash, who continued to fall while she adopted a more aerodynamic shape to speed up her fall.
"Rainbow Dash! What are you doing?!" Sunset snapped into her earpiece.
"Trust me!" Rainbow Dash laughed into her own earpiece.
"That doesn't sound like a good idea, Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie snapped, now worried about Rainbow's audacity.
"I know what I'm doing!"
While Sunset, Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity wondered what the heck was going through Rainbow Dash's mind, the rainbow-haired girl checked the communicator on her left wrist, watching as the altimeter reached the 100 meter mark as her body began to glow, causing her hair to grow and a pair of blue wings to sprout on her back, which she used to stabilize herself and do a pirouette to land gracefully, turning around to watch her companions land one by one a few moments later.
"I told you I'd make it. And what's more, it was in ten. Seconds. Flat." Rainbow said with a sly smile.
"Shut up." An annoyed but relieved Sunset snapped.
"And don't do that again." Applejack said as she released Fluttershy from the harness. "It's bad enough that you try it in the simulator, but to do it in real life..."
"Solid ground, how I missed you!" Fluttershy said as she slowly regained her breath and color in her face.
"Oh, please, I'm fine. Besides, we're superheroes, we'll survive more than just a skydive."
"For the last time, we're not superheroes, Rainbow Dash... unfortunately for us, we're just agents of W.A.N.D." Sunset said.
"Miss Marvel, Black Widow, and Mockingbird are agents and superheroes..."
"We're not like them, they can decide what they do, we can't."
"Well, we'd better start our way to the Siege, Cinch has surely set traps along the way, but as I said, I'm prepared for most scenarios she could think of." Twilight said.
"I didn't expect anything less, dear, you've always been good at preparing." Rarity said. "But I wish you had brought something to protect my delicate skin from the sun and the dry desert air."
"Who said I didn't?"
Twilight chuckled and reached her entire arm into her backpack to pull out a bottle of sunscreen and a purple umbrella to hand them to Rarity, who looked at the items in amazement.
"Ohhh, it's sunscreen with moisturizer. You're definitely the best, darling." Rarity said as she applied the sunscreen.
"I know. I also have a cooler with isotonic drinks, some emergency supplies, several first aid kits, communicators and satellite beacons, two four-person tents, seven sleeping bags..." Twilight said proudly.
"Aren't undetectable extension and mass negation charms supposed to be forbidden?" Sunset said with a sly smile. "Since when do you break the rules?"
"Technically I'm not breaking them, I just had Cinch sign the permission slips without her noticing when she was signing the evaluation sheets from the last time we were in the simulator." Twilight chuckled boastfully.
"Diabolical. You're definitely a genius, Twi."
"You just noticed it? Well, let's get moving, the Siege is about 10 kilometers away."
"12.56, actually." Rainbow Dash said as she shook off some sand. "I got bored of waiting and while they were talking, I went exploring."
"And how do y'all know how many kilometers away the Siege is?" Applejack asked.
"The time it took me to go and come back, my average speed, and the calculator and stopwatch on my phone." The rainbow-haired girl explained as she showed the operation on her phone to AJ.
"It took you 94 seconds to go and come back?" Pinkie asked.
"93.7, actually."
"Stop bragging, Rainbow Dash." Applejack snapped.
"Enough, girls, let's go." Sunset said as she took off her parachute. "Dash, where are we going?"
"That way." Rainbow said.
"Stay alert, Cinch probably has several surprises for us."
The girls nodded and took off their parachutes, while Twilight used a spell to fold them and put them in her emergency backpack.
After that, the girls began to walk towards the Siege, sighing in exasperation.
A couple of hours later, the W.A.N.D. agents took a break in the shade of a rock formation, and although Rainbow Dash proposed multiple times that she could carry each member of her team and take them to the base, all the others refused because Cinch surely wanted them to complete some kind of challenge, and skipping it in that way would possibly make the malevolent woman give them an even bigger challenge.
As the girls had a snack and rested after traveling a third of the way, Sunset couldn't help but feel uneasy, because throughout the journey, she could feel as if she was being watched, although she didn't give it much importance at first, because it was undoubtedly Cinch, but as time passed, her uneasiness returned, making her feel that something else besides any Cinch device or spy was watching them closely.
"... No, Rainbow Dash, the greatest villain in the world is without a doubt Doctor Doom, he masters both science and mysticism, the only guy smarter than him is Mr. Fantastic and the only better sorcerer than him is Doctor Strange." Twilight snapped. "And the worst thing about both statements is that him being second to them is debatable."
"Oh, please, that guy is nothing compared to Kang the Conqueror, he comes from the future, so he's definitely way smarter than Doom and has better technology than him." Rainbow Dash replied.
"Rainbow, while Kang is locked in a new special cell at Hydro-Base, Doom is free and happily reigning over Latveria."
"The only reason for that is Doom's diplomatic immunity, otherwise he'd be Kang's cellmate. And if it weren't for Spidey and the New Avengers, we'd be under Kang's control, and possibly at war with the Kree."
"It's amazing how much y'all two enjoy talking about superheroes and supervillains..." Applejack snapped before taking a bite of an apple.
"They're even more awesome than Daring Do, plus, both Twilight and I have Captain America comics that our parents passed down to us, so the love for them runs in the family."
"Plus, it's hard not to get excited about them when there are heroes who are brainiacs, like Yellowjacket, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Mr. Fantastic, and Bruce Banner." Twilight said cheerfully.
"No offense, sugarcube, but you're every bit the stereotypical nerd, Twilight." Applejack chuckled.
"Whatever, Kang is a bigger threat than Doom and that's it." Rainbow Dash said.
"In my opinion, it's hard to say, they both wear unattractive armor and overly saturated color combinations." Rarity said before taking a drink of water. "The only villain who has a decent suit without a doubt is Hawk Moth, so that's why he must be the least evil."
"What do the villains' clothes have to do with their level of evil?"
"Oh darling, clothes say it all, especially if they're magical clothes like our outfits when we transform or the outfits that Miraculous wearers create." Rarity explained. "In those cases, the outfits highlight an important quality or demonstrate our personality. For example, in my case, my outfits are always bright and with well-coordinated colors, demonstrating my stunning nature and passion for fashion. Another curious example would be Spider-Man's suit, since when he wears it, it has bright colors and two spiders, a huge one on his back and a small one on his chest, along a tight belt, while on the other hand, when there was that change of powers, Spider-Woman had a looser belt, and the spider on her chest was much larger than the one on her back. So, I can deduce that Spider-Man is a strong and responsible guy, who enjoys being seen saving the world but is more introverted without the suit, and the girl who is normally Queen Bee is more relaxed, takes things less seriously and is more extroverted, hence the change in the spiders in their torsos change sizes. For the same reason, guys like Kang, Doomt, the Green Goblin, Baron Zemo and the horrible Red Skull, who wear clothes of saturated colors, unattractive and intimidating, are the worst kind of villains."
"I don't know how but that analysis is correct, but the method is at least questionable." Twilight said.
"I didn't get anything, I'm just happy that Deadpool gave me back my magic satchel, although I must admit that it was interesting to find a use for guns for my job as a waitress." Pinkie said suddenly before eating an entire cupcake and talking with her mouth full. "And that he could use my stuff as weapons against the copycat we think was the Chameleon."
"And what do you think, Sunset?"
"I think we should pony-up." Sunset said absentmindedly while looking around. "Something tells me we are not alone."
"Oh no..." Fluttershy said. "I just hope they are not LMDs..."
"I hope it is and that it is one of Kang to show Twilight that he is much more dangerous than Doom." Rainbow Dash said quite excitedly.
"Only you could get excited about gettin' beat up by an LMD..." Applejack said with a hint of annoyance.
"Oh, shut up..."
At that moment, a repulsor ray hit Rainbow Dash in the back and made her fall face first to the ground, causing the others to be on alert and transform, with Rarity immediately creating a magic shield to protect her friends from another repulsor ray, fired by what was ultimately an American Son LMD, since instead of being with his team, he was accompanied by Baron Strucker, Rita Repulsa, Hawkeye, Electro, and the evil versions of Sunset and Twilight, Demon Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle.
"Darn it..." Applejack said before adjusting her gloves and hat.
"Thanks for the detail, Cinch..." Sunset said with a hint of annoyance at seeing her evil double.
The rest of the girls quickly scattered and took defensive positions, while Electro and the evil doubles' LMDs charged energy in their hands and fired them at the agents, causing Rarity and Twilight to create another magic shield to protect them, while Applejack took the rock she was sitting on and threw it at Baron Strucker's LMD, who narrowly dodged it and brandished a sword to attack the farmer.
For his part, Hawkeye's LMD had chosen Pinkie Pie as a priority target, who smiled defiantly at the challenge and, while dodging the robot's explosive arrows, took out a bow made of what looked like mint candy with a licorice string from who knows where, along with a quiver full of arrows that had candies of different flavors on the tip and got into position to shoot while the LMD did the same.
"You feelin' lucky, machine?" Pinkie said mockingly as she prepared her bow.
The LMD didn't respond, simply firing the arrow, causing Pinkie to fire hers, causing both to collide and explode in the air.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash recovered from the attack she had received and transformed, quickly attacking Rita Repulsa's LMD, dodging her attacks with her staff, managing to disarm her and kick her with enough force to send her crashing into a cactus.
In turn, American Son's LMD fired several micro-missiles at the girls, sending them flying and falling face-first to the ground, which made everyone, except Fluttershy and Sunset, get back on the warpath against the LMDs as soon as they could, with Rarity throwing several magic shields at American Son, Applejack resuming her confrontation with Baron Strucker by hitting the robot in the face, Twilight starting a clash of magic rays against Midnight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash tackling Rita Repulsa at full speed and Pinkie Pie recovering her bow to shoot several candy-tipped arrows at Hawkeye. While the golden and red-haired girl took the pale pink-haired girl by the shoulders to shake her a little.
"Are you okay?" Sunset asked.
"No! I hate this!" Fluttershy said while hugging her knees.
"Calm down, I'll protect you."
"How? You have no powers to fight against those things."
Fluttershy's statement, though Sunset knew she was right, still stung the equestrian-turned-human. Out of all her friends, she was the only one who had no combat skills.
In a team of heroes, she was the one with the useless powers to save people in the moment.
Hell, even Charles Xavier could manipulate people using his telepathy to fight for him or freeze people, despite not having any combat skills of his own, while she, she had nothing but visions, and she couldn't even choose when to have them or with whom without putting herself in danger and exposing her abilities to the enemy.
As Sunset pondered her own capabilities and Fluttershy remained curled up in fear, a beam of dark energy struck near them, raising a cloud of dust and debris. Sunset quickly turned around, recognizing the source of the attack: Demon Shimmer's LMD, her evil version.
"Darn!" Sunset exclaimed, quickly standing up and helping Fluttershy to her feet. "We have to move!"
However, as they tried to leave, Electro's LMD cut them off and made them levitate, creating a pair of electric fields around them, causing both girls to scream in pain as several hundred volts immobilized them and spun them towards Demon Shimmer.
In turn, Demon Shimmer laughed evilly, her eyes glowing with a sinister light as she charged another beam of energy. Sunset felt a surge of despair, but also a spark of determination. She couldn't let her friends get hurt.
"No!" Sunset screamed, grunting from the effort of trying to break free from Electro's electric field around her and Fluttershy.
For her part, Fluttershy, shaking in fear, began to cry in despair, feeling like this would be the end for her, but something inside her changed.
The pale pinkette felt a deep connection to her magic geode, a mystical and ancient calling, as if she could feel her abilities flowing inside her. Without thinking, Fluttershy let out a powerful scream, managing to create an electric field contrary to Electro's as if she were an electric eel, managing to free Sunset and herself. She then crouched to dodge an attack from Demon Shimmer and, with the agility of a cat and the speed of a cheetah, continued to dodge her following attacks, finding shelter behind a rock.
"Fluttershy, are you okay?!" Sunset shouted, looking for her friend with her eyes.
"Yeah, I'm okay!" Fluttershy answered from her hiding place, her voice shaky but firm. "I think... I think I can copy the abilities of animals!"
Sunset felt a wave of relief knowing Fluttershy could defend herself now, followed by a powerful feeling of frustration and uselessness running through her as she realized that the others not only had better and more useful abilities than her, but that their powers continued to evolve. Sunset growled and hit the ground, then let out a gasp and rolled on the ground to dodge a lightning bolt from Electro, after which she felt someone grab her by the neck and lift her up, carrying her away and slamming her hard into a rock, making her feel a trickle of a warm liquid flow freely down the back of her neck as her vision cleared and she looked into the eyes of the LMD of her evil version.
"Poor useless Sunset Shimmer... You are a disgrace." The LMD said. "From Princess Celestia's star pupil to nothing less than a government attack dog that doesn't even have teeth. How does it feel, Sunset? How does it feel to know that not once but twice you had incalculable power, and now you have nothing? You can't help your friends, you can't protect them, you're nothing but a burden."
"Don't listen to her, Sunset!" Rainbow Dash said as she dodged Rita Repulsa's attacks with astonishing ease. "You're not a burden! You never have been and you never will be!"
"You've always been a light! An example of redemption and becoming a better person, my dear!" Rarity said as American Son shot a double repulsor beam at her that the designer blocked with a magic shield.
"Not to mention that whenever we need help, you're there to give it to us!" Applejack said as she broke Baron Strucker's sword with her forearm.
"And without your confidence that the future will improve, we wouldn't have been able to endure Cinch's training!" Twilight said as Midnight took her in a magic lasso to crash her into the ground.
"We'll get through it like we always do!" Pinkie said as Hawkeye and she continued to shoot arrows at each other.
"Together!" Fluttershy said as Electro destroyed the rock she was hiding behind.
Seeing Electro, Fluttershy let out a cry of fear as the LMD charged up a beam of electrical energy at full power, ready to kill the girl.
At that moment, time slowed down for Sunset. She closed her eyes for a moment, focusing on a feeling of warmth and determination, one that had been awakened by her friends and had increased with Fluttershy's dangerous situation.
When Sunset opened her eyes again, they were glowing with a golden light, prompting her to reach out one hand towards Electro and the other towards Demon Shimmer, and to her surprise, an invisible force pushed the LMDs against each other, preventing Electro's attack from ending up hurting Fluttershy and stopping the other fights for a moment.
"My new power is telekinesis?" Sunset muttered, a defiant smile forming on her face. "This is going to be interesting."
Demon Shimmer quickly recovered, firing another beam of energy. But this time, Sunset was ready. With a wave of her hand, she deflected the beam, making it hit the ground a few meters away.
Sunset smiled, feeling more confident than ever. With her new abilities, she had a real chance of facing Demon Shimmer and helping her friends in combat.
"Let's show Cinch what we're capable of!" Sunset exclaimed, her voice full of determination.
With a new confidence, Sunset launched into combat, using her telekinesis to deflect Demon Shimmer's attacks and throw several rocks at her.
Meanwhile, Fluttershy moved with the agility of a cat using the speed of a cheetah, dodging Electro's attacks, making the LMD increasingly erratic and more insistent with its attacks.
On the other hand, Rainbow Dash smiled seeing that Fluttershy and Sunset were now able to defend themselves, so she dodged an attack from Rita Repulsa and sent her backwards with a double kick. Then, taking advantage of her speed, she ran in circles around her, creating a tornado that lifted her off the ground several dozen meters.
Having made estimates, Rainbow Dash stopped, sliding a couple of meters along the desert ground and opened her wings to gain height, letting herself dive with a strong kick to the abdomen of the LMD she was facing, making it explode into pieces as soon as it crashed into the ground, while the athlete did a backflip with a satisfied smile.
"Cinch'll have to think better about our opponents next time." Rainbow Dash said boastfully.
Taking advantage of the distraction caused by Rainbow Dash, Applejack took Baron Strucker's LMD and slammed it into the ground with a powerful suplex, then the LMD rolled on the ground and threw a kick, which Applejack dodged by moving aside, catching its leg to knock it down again.
The android tried to free itself with another kick, but the farmer simply blocked the attack and caught its legs to bend the robot at an unnatural angle, rendering it useless and continuing to compact it into a ball.
"Ah' guess it wasn't a good idea to use an old man from HYDRA for trainin'." Applejack laughed as she dropped the ball of battered metal and circuits to which she had reduced her opponent to.
Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie and Hawkeye had run out of arrows and were now fighting hand to hand, using their respective bows as blunt weapons, clashing hard and trying to gain the advantage over the other.
Having the more resilient bow and greater strength, Hawkeye quickly managed to break Pinkie's bow, who let out a squeal of surprise and dodged her opponent's next attacks to pull two cupcakes out of her hair, biting them both and then charging them with energy to slam them into the LMD's face, blinding him and tripping him so that he fell face first to the ground. In the end, the LMD managed to clear its eyes enough to try and hit Pinkie Pie once, but the frosting on its face lit up for a moment, before exploding and smashing the robot's head with astonishing ease.
"That was fun," Pinkie said.
After that, Pinkie Pie pulled a little cookie out of her hair and ate it, tossing it up with her thumb and catching it in her mouth.
Meanwhile, Rarity smiled mischievously after blocking another repulsor beam from the fake American Son with one of her shields, then spun around and threw it with all her might at the machine, followed by several other shields that hit the LMD in the limbs, head, torso, and abdomen.
After receiving a whole barrage of magical shields, the LMD tried to fight back, only to be quickly surrounded by Rarity's shields who gave her mechanical opponent a victorious smile before snapping her fingers and causing the shields to join together and shrink, compressing the machine to the size of a large marble, which Rarity brought closer to her, her smile widening as she examined the object that, thanks to the shine of her shields, looked like a jewel.
"Adorable, but it probably weighs too much to wear as an accessory." Rarity said as she looked at the jewel-like cluster of shields, before undoing the shields and letting the compressed remains of the LMD fall to the ground, causing a small hole due to its weight.
On the other side of the battlefield, Twilight was starting to get annoyed that her LMD was so good at attacks, because while it didn't have as wide a variety of attacks as she did, thanks to her training with Director Cinch, the LMD had all her creativity and intelligence to attack, which made it clear to her that possibly Midnight Sparkle and Demon Shimmer were specifically designed not only as a mockery of their dark pasts, but as the ultimate test, having put almost all of her and Sunset's knowledge and skills into them.
And that was almost would be what would give her and Sunset victory over the robots.
Twilight closed her eyes and made a couple of gestures with her hands, causing two red seals to form over them. The sorceress then smiled and opened her eyes, deflecting a bolt of Midnight Sparkle lightning with one of the seals in her hands and using the other to conjure a larger version beneath the LMD, from which bands of what looked like red-hot metal emerged and trapped the robot, limiting all its movements and preventing it from continuing to fight.
Finally, the bespectacled young woman closed the hand that had conjured the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak and her mechanical double was crushed by them, making her smile slightly.
"That felt strangely cathartic." Twilight smiled.
While this was happening, Electro's LMD was already fed up with having to chase Fluttershy and failing miserably due to the girl's speed and agility, as well as other skills she was showing, such as hiding between rocks.
Thus, the LMD roared and emitted an electric wave around, managing to reach the pink-haired girl and make her fall face first to the ground, where she turned around and looked in fear at the robot, which was preparing to finish her off.
Suddenly, the girl felt a surge of adrenaline and ferocity, something she had never felt before, as if something inside her was urging her to exert the greatest possible violence against her opponent, so Fluttershy narrowly dodged another lightning bolt while she spun agilely and got into an attack position as if she were an animal, with claws growing on her hands and fangs in her mouth, growling ferociously.
The robot looked at the girl in confusion, as if it didn't understand what was happening, and in less than the blink of an eye, Fluttershy roared and lunged at Electro, using her newly grown claws and fangs to tear the android apart like a wolverine tearing apart its prey.
After destroying the android, and calming down a bit, Fluttershy blinked and looked at the remains of the LMD beneath her, then spat out a piece of metal that was still in her teeth as she returned to normal, feeling overwhelmed and confused by what had happened.
Finally, the leader of the team of agents of W.A.N.D. was in a difficult situation, because although she could already face her robotic double in similar conditions, her powers were too new, so she still needed to practice things like aim and learn to use her skills to better block attacks.
However, a rock hit the LMD squarely, making it fall, where a multicolored blur gave it a powerful kick, sending it crashing into a magic shield that threw it into a small pile of cakes and sweets, which exploded and got her captured by a Crimson Band of Cyttorak, to be thrown to the ground, where Fluttershy approached it and, using the abilities of an eel again, electrocuted the android and left her stunned, where Sunset walked until she was right in front of her.
"I hope you're watching this, Cinch, because we're going to give you another small taste of the power of the Magic of Friendship..." Sunset said before she and her friends began to glow in different colors.
The agents began to levitate while Demon Shimmer's LMD tried to stand up to fight, but it was useless, the girls' attacks had severely damaged it, leaving it as an easy target for what was coming.
Purple, orange, white, blue, yellow, and pink beams emanated from Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie, hitting Sunset, whose reddish-gold aura shone brighter before the girl put both hands forward and released a blast of energy that completely disintegrated the LMD, without damaging anything else.
After that, the girls returned to normal, sighing heavily as they heard the unmistakable engine of a W.A.N.D. transport, which raised a cloud of dust as it landed and opened its rear doors to let out Director Abacus Cinch, who sketched a sinister smirk as almost all the time, wearing her always impeccable reddish uniform and conjuring a tablet in her hands, while being closely observed by the agents.
"Agent Shimmer, as always, your team proves to be undoubtedly ahead of the S.W.O.R.D. Power Rangers team." Cinch said. "Although I see that they have broken certain rules, such as the use of forbidden spells and enchantments, and I'm not just talking about those of undetectable extension and mass negation. The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak are not white magic."
"What are you talking about?" Sunset said.
"Cyttorak is a demon. I used dark magic." Twilight admitted. - But I have Director Cinch's permission to use them and even to read forbidden volumes in the Siege's library..."
"Ah, yes, your little trick of making me sign without me realizing it." Cinch said while making notes on the tablet. "Ingenious, I must admit, and since you don't use the permissions for anything other than your missions, I will allow it. Although there is something about your magic that disturbs me, Agent Sparkle. I have to talk to the Sorcerer Supreme about it and make sure it doesn't get out of hand."
"Twilight is not Midnight Sparkle." Sunset snapped.
"No, but my magic has been a bit out of control since I learned forbidden spells, which is why I limit myself to using only the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, since it's the most harmless." Twilight sighed, getting a puzzled look from Sunset. "Ok, Director Cinch, I'll go with you to see Doctor Strange."
"Excellent. As for the rest, I'm glad to see that Agents Shy and Shimmer have finally evolved their skills, and that they work so well in field combat. Because I have a mission for you, although for the moment, I suppose it would be good to offer you a break, I wouldn't want you to be unable to fulfill the mission objective." Cinch said as she adjusted her glasses. "Get on the transport, we'll take you to the Siege. Consider it an extra reward for acceptable performance."
After Director Cinch's statements, the agents sighed heavily and entered the transport, while Sunset stopped Twilight for a moment by taking her by the arm.
"What do you think you're doing? Why did you use dark magic? Didn't you learn your lesson with the Friendship Games and Camp Everfree?" Sunset snapped in a whisper.
"Earth's magic isn't like Equestria's, and even less so those of other dimensions in this universe, Sunset." Twilight responded as she adjusted her glasses. "Don't treat me like a child on subjects that I master better than you."
"Don't think you're an expert just because you've read more about magic in this universe than I have."
"I'm not. But I do know more than you, as long as I don't use more complex or powerful spells, nothing will happen. That's why I used the Bands of Cyttorak, because among everything, it's the least corrupting. I know what I'm doing."
"I sure hope so."
After their little discussion, the two girls boarded the transport as Cinch watched with a hint of interest at her agents' interaction.
'So their friendship isn't as unbreakable as they claim it to be, huh?' Cinch thought as she boarded the transport as well. 'Interesting. I think I can use that to my advantage.'
