    At 18, everyone has to take a test to find out what class they will mature into at 20. Dean’s class was a secret he kept and defended vigorously, violently if needed. For six years, he’s kept himself tucked away. He hated himself for having any moments of weakness, even if they weren’t his fault. His father ignored his class, needing him to take care of Sam when he couldn’t. Which was most of the time. His brother needed him to take care of him, keep him safe. What Dean wanted…what he needed, he couldn’t have in the life he led. As miserable as he was, he had a job to do. And he was good at it. He was good at lying to everyone too.

    Until one day…he just couldn’t do it anymore.
