( Abandoned ) Green Lion or Black Panther?

Summary:

The Paladins get an invite to the one place on Earth that isn't untied with the rest of the planet. Vince just so happens to know what's going on, and Lamina really needs to stop judging other place and cultures.Vince's mysterious past gets revealed and everyone learns just how special he is.

Notes:

So I’ve had this idea for a while, ever since 2014 and just haven’t gotten around to putting it down on anything. It kinda came from the distinct lack of fics about Vince from Voltron Force and his past. There is a great opening for some awesome story arcs there, but I can’t find any. So I’ve taken it upon myself to put my idea forth, even if I should write it down on paper first for best results, but oh well. This fic is long overdue.
I present to you a Voltron Force, Avengers crossover focused on Vince and his mysterious past.

I will also be in college while I'm working on this as well as working a part time job, so the updates probably won't be all that frequent. If anyone wants to take this up, feel free to do so. The idea is that Vince is a descendant of T'Challa. Team Voltron get invited to visit the kingdom of Wakanda for a celebration of some sort. Maybe the birth of a new royal family member or the crowning of the next Black Panther. Vince's powers are based off of the powers that T'Challa's son Azari in the animated movie, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, has. I recently learned that in that time line, Azari's mother is Storm. Which could also help explain Vince's powers if you go that rout. Son of a king, who's family has powers from a special plant; and a woman who's family has been blessed by gods so much, that they are borderline gods themselves.

Vince's name isn't actually Vince. It's his cover name while he learns about the world outside Wakanda; he's basically studying abroad. Not sure why he would be at the military academy, but that's for another person to decide.

Wakanda still does not allow people from other countries inside their borders. The rest of the planet has finally united as one, but Wakanda is not a part of it. They are happy doing their own thing, thank you. The technology inside Wakanda is still light years more advanced than anything on Earth and other planets. The only planet that is similar is Pidge's home planet Balto. But they don't want everyone on Earth to be trying to get their tech when they aren't ready for it. It would be like giving a little kid a grenade and NOT telling them to leave the pin in. Bad idea, and irresponsible adults.

When the team gets to Wakanda, Vince has to navigate them through and they are not allowed to go in the Lions. At some point while they are there, Vince is told he needs to make a decision on if he wants to continue with Voltron Force training or if he will leave it behind for his people in Wakanda. Depending on who's writing, Vince could be the heir to the throne right away or he could be some place else in line, but something happens that puts him into 1st. People in front abdicating/pass away, dealer's choice. Basically Vince is now the only member left in line of the current royal family. They still have the other method of choosing a new ruler, but they have been prosperous under this family for a very long time and would rather not change that.
